Memorial Service Set for May 25th for Carol Burton 1926 - 2018

Angels Camp, CA...A memorial service has been scheduled for Carol Burton who passed away November 16, 2018 in Angels Camp, Ca. The service will be May 25, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Murphys Congregational Church in Murphys. On Nov 16, 2018 Carol Burton,92, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Salinas, CA to Chester and Jess Guild. She graduated from Piedmont High School and UC Berkeley and moved to Hathaway Pines in 1958 with her husband Dr.Clark Burton(dentist in Altaville, then Murphys), and her 3 children.She enjoyed skiing, bicycle touring, music, dancing, watercolor painting, and all the people involved.A fourth child Tom was born in 1962.




Carol was predeceased by her parents, husband Clark, and son Tom, and brother Woody Guild(died 4 days before), and brother -in-law Doug Ellis. She is survived by her sister Cleo (Doug) Ellis (Huntington Beach), children Nancy Burton(Angels Camp), Laurie (Brent) Corson(Sonora), Jim(Eva) Burton (Bear Valley), sister-in-law Patty (Woody) Guild,(Concord), 3 grandchildren Isis (Brian)Whitehead (Sonora), Chris Corson, Aaron (Nicole)Corson, nieces and a nephew, and 2 great grandsons
