Build a Better Future for Calaveras County~By Mary Boblet

San Andreas CA…The Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee is hosting a fundraising dinner with the theme, Build a Better Future for Calaveras County. The dinner is set for Sunday, April 27th at 4:30 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall located at 389 Main St. in Murphys. Our mission is to elect Democrats. This year we have the privilege and opportunity to elect exceptional candidates, both locally and nationally.....

After enjoying a scrumptious Mexican dinner catered by Firewood, guests will have the opportunity to network and socialize, with a focus on building a better future for Calaveras County. Informational tables will include candidate literature, literature on participating coalition groups and information on healthcare initiatives.

Join with Democrats from all over California who are making history. At this dinner you will meet fellow Democrats who, like you, want to make a difference in upcoming local and national elections. Volunteer opportunities exist to fit your busy schedule, including phone banking/cell phone parties, event planning, office tasks, precinct walking, fundraising, neighborhood parties, and participating in neighborhood health care forums in Copperopolis, Mokelumne Hill, Angels Camp, Arnold, and Mountain Ranch.

Details are being finalized on the evening's special guest speaker. Please stay tuned.

The cost is only $25, which includes a catered dinner, no-host bar and a make your own sundae dessert. Tickets are available at the following local community businesses, by email or phone order and at the door. Proceeds benefit the Get Out The Vote program for the upcoming election season. Raffle tickets to win a $500 cash prize are only $5.00.

Tickets can be purchased at one of these fine establishments or by contacting a volunteer ticket seller:

* To support the California Democratic Party and Democratic candidates for local, state and federal offices

The Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee meets monthly, on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 P.M., in the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Government Center, San Andreas. More information is available by visiting www.calaverasdemocrats.org.
