Board of Supervisors Notice of Public Hearing

San Andreas, CA...BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING. LEAD AGENCY: Calaveras County Agriculture Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas, CA 95249. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 9:00 a. m. or soon thereafter to consider extending Interim Ordinance 3133, adopted March 12, 2019, for a period not to exceed 22 months and 15 days pursuant to Gov. Code 658589(b), placing a moratorium on commercial and research cultivation of industrial hemp in Calaveras County pending further study and review. The public hearing will be held in the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Government Center, 891 Mt. Ranch Road, San Andreas, California.




Pursuant to Government Code 65009, if anyone challenges the ordinance in a court of law, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raise at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission, at or prior to, the public hearing. Board of Supervisors agenda is available online http://bos.calaverasgov.us at noon on the Friday prior to the meeting.

Hmmm. Wondering what this interim ordinance is since it doesn’t say? It’s the hemp ban. Why on earth would we want to bring in a new and growing industry? It’s only accepted in progressive liberal places like Kentucky anyway.
