Chapel in the Pines Fundraiser Dinner and Auction This Saturday
Arnold, CA....For Chapel’s short-term mission trip to Greensburg, Kansas in May 2008 there will be a Fundraiser Dinner and Auction on Saturday, April 5th at 5:00 PM at Chapel in the Pines in Arnold. Oven BBQ chicken, BBQ beans, green salad, cornbread, bread pudding Adults: $10.00 Children 12 and under: $5.00. If you have items to donate for the auction, please call Clayton or Becky Smith at 795-5997......
This dinner will be to help raise funds to be used in the rebuilding of homes in Greensburg. Typically, when churches go on short-term missions, they allocate approximately $500 per person toward construction or medical supplies. At Greensburg there is no set rule for this, but it is something we need to be prepared to do. People who are going on this mission will be paying their own way, whether they drive or go by air, and they will also pay for food and lodging. No church funds will be used for personal expenses.
So instead of “Re-Gifting” next year those unwanted Christmas presents, donate them to the Chapel to help raise funds for those families ravished by this tornado.
