Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties, CA...Golden State Cellular announces that on they are extending their public offering of a free hands free device to Mother Lode residents in anticipation of the new driving regulations effective July 1, 2008. “The response to this program has been overwhelming!” Stated Dan Rule, General Manager of Golden State Cellular. “We have had thousands of people take advantage of this offer.” Golden State Cellular offers a variety of hands free options at their retail stores located in Sonora, Angels Camp and Martell.
 
Effective July 1, 2008 Vehicle Code 23123 prohibits all drivers from using a handheld wireless phone while operating a motor vehicle.
“Because of the safety issues involved, you should become a hands free cellular phone user as soon as possible, there’s no reason to wait until July.” Tom Wills, California Highway Patrol Officer.
Golden State Cellular is also offering a Free Razor and Free Bluetooth Headset for new customers who sign up with a new two year service contract.
