Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley Mountain Resort has something very special planned this May. They are hosting a Weekend Race, Snowboard and Freestyle Camp on May 10th-11th, 2008. There are three different camps to choose from, open to all ages with intermediate to advanced skill levels....
Race Camp- Whether you are looking to fine tune your technique or just have a desire to improve your skiing and run the gates, Bear Valley's weekend race camp has a program for you. Bear Valley's race camp is open to all ages and ability levels from entry level (first time racers) to experienced racers. Training is focused on the fundamentals of current race technique through Slalom and GS race course.
Camp Schedule-
Sat May 10th GS
On snow 7:00am-12:00pm

GS technique
GS tactics/ line
course inspection
video analysis
Gate drills and full length GS will be used.
Sun May 11th SL
SL technique
Proper cross blocking J4s and above SL
tactics/line
proper intro/exit of combinations

Stubbies will be used for J5s drills and courses Full size gates for J4s and older
Dry land training activities for 2 hours each afternoon after lunch.

Freestyle Ski Camp- At Bear Valley's Freestyle camp all levels of coaching are provided. This camp is recommeded for intermediate to advanced skiers.
Freestyle Board Camp - Bear Valley's Freestyle coaches are looking forward to a fun-filled, action packed weekend of riding, sliding and flying. This camp is recommeded for intermediate to advanced snowboarders
Cost is $250 per racer
Discounts available for families of 2 or more racers
Lodging Packages are available.
Bear Valley has offered excellent race camps since 1992 and has produced top amateur and pro athletes in both freestyle and race events. Several of Bear Valley's athletes have qualified for Junior Olympics in 2008, and the Bear Valley Team has won the Central Sierra Series for the third straight year. The resort offers a varied terrain to condition all racing levels.
Whether you are looking to improve your race skills, fine tune your technique or are interested in sliding boxes and rails, Bear Valley's weekend race and freeride camp has a program for you. Bear Valley's race camp is open to all ages and ability levels from entry level (first time racers and park riders) to experienced racers and riders.
Make new friends, learn new skills, gain confidence, and have the time of your life. There are 3 different camps to choose from, open to all ages with intermediate to advanced skill levels.
Each participant will be required to have complete ski/snowboard equipment, sunscreen, sunglasses, goggles helmet, running shoes, shorts, warm-ups/jacket. Rollerblades and/or mountain bikes are welcome.
