Ordinance Rescinding and Replacing Property Value Ordinance

San Andreas, CA...BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF CALAVERAS STATE OF CALIFORNIA. February 12, 2019. Ordinance No. 20190212o3112. AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING AND REPLACING PROPERTY VALUE ORDINANCE SECTION 2.60.005. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Calaveras hereby ordains as follows:





Section 1. Existing Section 2.60.005 of the Calaveras County Code shall be rescinded in full and replaced with the following:

2.60.005 - Property to be inventoried.

A. All equipment with a useful life of one year or longer, which either has a minimum value of $5,000 or holds title/registration with the California Department of Motor Vehicles regardless of value, shall be carried on a department’s inventory unless otherwise authorized by the administrative coordinator.

B. All structures and improvements with an initial value of $25,000 shall be carried on a department’s inventory unless otherwise authorized by the administrative coordinator.

C. Infrastructure with an initial value of $100,000 or greater shall be carried on a department’s inventory unless otherwise authorized by the administrative coordinator.

D. Capital projects that exceed $50,000 shall be accounted for in the Capital Outlay fund, except for Proprietary Funds and the Road Fund.

Section 2. Effective Date. The new ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from the date of its passage and shall be published once within fifteen (15) days of its passage in a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the County of Calaveras with the names of the supervisors voting for and against same.
