I live in Arnold and have a two wheel drive vehicle. I have never had to use chains and can't afford to replace my bald tires.

Bald tires work just fine on dry pavement.

There are certainly hills in Arnold that can not be ascended when icy if you have only 2 wheel drive and no chains. I see cars abandoned there a few times every winter. People come and get them once the ice melts or they go get chains.

But if you choose your times to go out carefully, sure 2 wheel drive will do fine.

No chains and, bald tires in Arnold. You gotta be named, Fancy Nancy. Good luck, call Diane if you get in a pickle. She’s good at recovery....

I think I've seen that car. Is that the one that has grass growing on the car seats, or what's left of them?

Then don't go out of the house. Problem solved before you end up in a ditch and other's need to solve your problem for you. . .
