Explosion at Quartz Mine Marijuana Grow, One Hospitalized and Marijuana Seized

Mountain Ranch, CA...On 1-26-19 at approx. 0805 hours CCSO Dispatch received multiple reports of an explosion in the area of the 6000 block of Quartz Mine Road in Mountain Ranch. Upon arrival to the area Deputies were directed to a property by neighbors who heard the loud noise and people yelling. An outbuilding was found to have been demolished from an explosion. While Deputies were conducting their investigation and attempting to locate subjects on the property, Mark Twain Medical Center reported that a 41 year old female had arrived at the hospital emergency room with burns. A CCSO Explosive Ordinance Device Team (aka Bomb Team) Deputy along with members of the Marijuana Enforcement Team responded to this incident. Evidence of mixed light and indoor marijuana cultivation were discovered on this property. An investigation is ongoing in regards to the marijuana. 1000 marijuana plants and 136 pounds of processed marijuana were seized.

From statements obtained, Deputies determined that the explosion appears to have been caused by a propane stove being left on overnight in the outbuilding. When the female entered the outbuilding and attempted to turn the stove off, the explosion occurred causing injury to the female who was later transported out of county to a trauma center. Her condition status is unknown. This is an ongoing investigation. No further information is available at this time.

Right Hoser, here's a property with cultivation going on and a building blowing up, sending a seriously injured woman to the hospital. We need more of that right? FOOL....

This lame ass county can't even get or keep permanent officials, like a CEO or building department head. The county was totally unprepared last time they chose to regulate. Before they even begin to think about that again they should provide the citizens the minimum staffing and services appropriate to any county government. If they can do that, and they haven't been able to for years.....then possibly a vote for the people on the idea of regulated cannabis.

First Mr Short resignation/termination was a great thing for this county and the building department. Second if the new BOS wants to bring commercial marijuana back to this county it needs to be put on the ballot so the citizens can vote to keep the ban or regulate. Not that the citizens haven't already voted no to commercial marijuana but wasting tax papers money every year on this issue is ridiculous. Out it on the ballot let us vote once and for all so that every time the BOS changes we are not rehashing this and wasting more time & money. Or and lets not forget we have a EIR report the BOS had better be careful or they will have more lawsuits on their hands.

Democrats/"progressives"/liberals/leftists/socialists will do ANYTHING to get political power! The hypocritical and corrupt Democrats/"progressives"/liberals/leftists/socialists are going further and further left, and becoming more radicalized, aggressive, and hateful. They are for open-borders, sanctuary cities/states, big government, more regulations, identity politics, politically correctness, "free stuff" (health care, college education, guaranteed income, other entitlements), redistribution of wealth, a weak military, social engineering, are anti-gun ownership, for rewriting-history, censor what they don’t like, and are turning socialist and more violent. And, they’re guilty of voter fraud! We MUST take the House back in ’20, gain more control of the Senate, and reelect President Trump in ’20!!! VOTE STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN TICKET in ’20! VOTE, DAMN IT!

This is a great example on how regulations are needed.
License the farms. Limit the number. Inspect them and this
        won't happen.

Unlicensed, unregulated and banned and this is the result...

        Regulate, Tax and prosper!

Agreed, this is what happens in an underground, unregulated market. Imagine all that tax revenue literally up in smoke. Meanwhile, the state and other communities are working to lower fees for growers to encourage legal operations. This week we see Joe Montana invested 75M in a cannabis company as well.

If anyone in this county deserves to be 'executed,' it is the gentleman who continues to post these vile messages encouraging others to terminate the lives of those he disagrees with.

This man is no different than Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, or any of the other despots of history.

This is a ongoing call to actionable violence. These posts will eventually be considered evidence in a criminal investigation.

I have preserved this thread (and every one like it) for investigators, as these words are simply illegal, and their author shall (eventually) be held accountable. You can hide, but sooner or later, we will find you!

If anyone knows who this individual is, PLEASE take this opportunity to make a phone call to the CCSO.

Time to shine a spotlight into this dark corner of humanity and flush out this person who is CONSISTENTLY inciting violence and encouraging criminal vigilantism against his neighbor...

The takeaway here is that this is really sad. This is sad for the 41-year-old victim. It is sad that Debbie Ponte and Chris Wright pushed for the UO. It is sad we experimented and brought this here at a cost to us and our communities. It is now sad we have to clean it up. We have an opportunity to do things for our youth like vocational training, and ongoing education. We have a chance to move forward. Having exploding buildings all over the county is not a chance. It is a disaster. Don't let anyone talk you into this as good "regulation." This kind of operation can't be regulated or made safe. Don't be mislead.
