Dow Roars Up 1,084.89 & Almost 5% in Post Christmas Bounce!

New York, NY...Dow Roars Up 1,084.89 & Almost 5% in Post Christmas Bounce! Good retail numbers led the way as the Dow climbed back up in one of the largest single day gains in Dow history. Markets are still down for the year but this erases some of the doom and gloom mood of the 600 point drop Christmas Eve.

Thank goodness - might help keep us out of yet another recession next year - at least until the next thing he does to drop the bottom out again..

President Trump locked the Democrats out of Washington while he stayed behind and gave us the biggest post-Christmas rally for U.S. stocks ever.

Thank you President Trump for Making America Great Again!

        HAHAHAHAHA LIBERAL DEMS SCREAMING HAHAHAHAHA
Democrats Devastated: Trump CAN Build the Wall Without Congressional Approval
A week ago, the White House put out a call to federal agencies to look for “pots of money” in their existing budgets that could be cobbled together to pay for border wall construction. Immediately, Sen. John Thune, the Republican whip in the upper chamber, shot down the idea of shifting funds from executive departments to the border, saying, “I’m not a big fan of moving money.” Like it or not, there are sources of revenue in the executive branch that the president has authority to use without congressional approval.

No, not ever but close. Let's also remember that some of the biggest upswings came just before the past two recessions. These days, so much is not about human activity but the automatic buying and selling of market software programs. Looks like we're headed back down again today. The volatility of the market is what is most distressing.

Public speaker and film director Jaco Booyens told Breitbart News last week that an unsecured southern U.S. border emboldens human traffickers, adding that thirty percent of children smuggled across the border are sold into sex slavery.
“These cartels — they understand it’s easier to sell a child over and over than a pound of cocaine or an illegal weapon,” said Booyens, whose sister was a victim of human trafficking and whose experience is captured in the film 8 Days.
Booyens told Breitbart News that the cartels are “sending kids across the border” by design.
“A southern border that’s open is the reason California is now the leading state in the United States for trafficking,” said Booyens, “Thirty percent of children that cross the border today will be sex slaves in the United States.”
Booyens added that an “undocumented” child is much easier for cartels and human traffickers to sell over and over again.
“Because nobody’s looking for that child,” said Booyens, “That child is a ghost — doesn’t exist.”

Great. We get back 20% of what we lost over the past six weeks. We almost hit the bottom of what the market was like when Obama handed a roaring market off to the Donald in 2017

And the stock futures tonight are down for tomorrow.

Liberal groups push Dem leaders to take harder line in shutdown talks.
The American Civil Liberties Union and a coalition of left-leaning political, immigration, environmental and labor groups are urging Democratic leaders to further pare down their border fence offer to President Donald Trump once Democrats take over the House and try to reopen the government.
In fact, the groups want House Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to deny the president money for his fence altogether rather than give the Department of Homeland Security a year of funding at the same level as last year. The two Democratic leaders have offered Trump roughly $1.3 billion in money for fencing as part of a continuing resolution for DHS, though Trump has publicly asked for as much as $5 billion.

    Debt = Crash
Posted on: 2018-12-26 14:17:20   By: Anonymous

The 1929 crash was caused by over leveraged investments. Only 20% of an investment debt was required.
Right now, corporate debt is at an all time high, as well as consumer, and student debt, also Federal debt.

The history of capitalism in the US shows cyclical recession in 7-8 year cycles. This has been shown since the beginning of America.
The last recession was in 2008 , it is now 2018 ten years past the last recession, this why almost all economists, Goldman Sachs, and many large banks are planning, forecasting a recession in the next 4-8 months, or sooner.

Don't believe the stock market is the economy, it is not.

Be prepared. Rolling up more debt will only cause hardship in the near future.
Unemployment will ensue, and hardship on many Americans.

I'm not in debt, I don't owe anyone, anything. I buy things with a credit card
      it's paid off.
I also have a stock pile of GOLD. Not gold certificates, GOLD.
Invest and keep. 2,000 years ago you could buy clothes, food,
rooming, drinks, women.... with gold. You still can today.

A pile of gold will stay the same pile of gold no matter how much time passes. An equivalent amount of money invested in a business or any other productive economic activity will generate actual wealth and will grow larger in a very fundamental way, not the least of all providing opportunities for other individuals and businesses and supporting the larger economy. The value of gold has always been driven by the fear that other asset classes will lose value. You would be so much better off continually thinking about your money and investments than stockpiling. Gold is a non-productive asset.
