Let The Interviews Begin....Who, What, When, Where & Why with Incumbent Supervisor, Tom Tryon~Video Chat By John Hamilton
Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure of kicking off our Supervisor Candidate Interview series with one of the Supervisors with the longest tenures of any supervisor in the State, Supervisor Tom Tryon. Tryon has been serving Calaveras County since the early 1980s. He started off on the Planning Commission and then was elected by one vote in a squeaker against one of his friends, Tony Tyrell. Our interview covers a wide range of subjects & directions. The Tryon Family has roots that go back generations in Calaveras County. They still run a large working cattle ranch..
in the Angels Camp area and the Tryon family will have a large impact on the future of the Angels Camp area whether from within the government or without. Supervisor Tryon is Libertarian and a strong small government and individual rights advocate.
This interview runs just over 40 minutes and was conducted on the historic Tryon Ranch in Angels Camp on March 13, 2008
We hope that this first in a series can help you get to know the candidates who are running for office locally this year. These will not be adversarial interviews. Those questions can be saved for the debates. We will start with the incumbents and then work to the Challengers in the various races. Our hope for these chats is to provide a vehicle where you can get a glimpse of the candidates and what they have and would like to accomplish in the service of their constituents.
If you are a candidate running for Public Office in Calaveras County this season, and haven't been contacted by us yet are interested in being interviewed, give John a jingle at 768.3921 or email us at news@thepinetree.net.
