29 now dead in the Camp Fire and Trump previously cut forest management funds the last two years.

His threatening comments are simply a smokescreen to cover his previous negligence, hardly anything new about that, in fact, negilgence is pretty much a theme for his presidency.

Disgusting, lying orange piece of crap.

Quit hugging the trees and manage the forest by control burns or we’ll end up with total burn like this

In 2016 the Forest Service budget was 7.1 billion dollars.

Trump and his GOP gangsters have reduced that to 4.77 billion for the 2019 budget.

Obviously Trump and his republican thieves prefer covering their tax cuts rather than the safety and lives of us folks in California and elsewhere.

        Just say'in.

Plenty of blame to go around for years at both the federal and state levels. I think what bothers people most is Trump's verbal attack and need to assign blame during this tragedy. So, instead of using this opportunity to be presidential he condemns others and makes it political. He may say he wants to bring the nation together but his words ring hollow. Signed, mom of a CA firefighter

What ever happened to self responsibility (plenty of people with huge trees on their property surrounding their homes doing nothing.) Masses of people waiting for someone to come and help them that can do nothing for themselves. Drop the title lady...you are no more important than anyone else!

Mortgaged our grand children? you mean like Brown with the Bullet Train, that's already billions of dollars over budgeted with no end in sight? Latest cost figure ~ ''The latest estimated price tag for California's high-speed train is now $98.5 billion.''
Gee it was $7 billion originally now let's not forget what that amount will be with interest for the NEXT 40 YEARS.
I hope your grand kids aren't lazy bums so they can work it off.

I voted for the education bonds because I can see from posts like yours that lack of education is ruinous to our country.

Brown leaves the state in good fiscal shape with a funded rainy day emergency fund. He kept the CA Democrats from spending more than tax revenues could cover. All of you who hate Brown should educate yourselves on his accomplishments and fiscal conservatism. It will be a long time before we have as fiscally responsible governor as Brown.

As for high speed rail, that is the future whether you think so or not. If it were up to some of you we'd still be driving wagons on dirt roads.

Not everything is Trump's fault? It is too..... if you're an ignorant imbecile like the above poster. How sad someone can have such hate in themselves, it makes me wonder how can someone turn in to such a bitter, hateful, bigoted person. No doubt this mentally deranged person is by himself. Hopefully he won't harm anyone in his condition. Mental Illness, another problem running amok in our country.

Seriously folks, please... don't listen too or be like the mentally deranged individual above, who doesn't give a damn about his fellow Americans who are in dire need of our help. If you are able, and can donate anything, blankets, pet food, money (Red Cross says 91 cents of every dollar will go to the victims) anything at all, .... The Angels Camp Veterinary Hospital and Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital will take the donations Nov 17th. to send to the victims of this tragedy.

That was what so upsetting for many of the front lines and the victims who are suffering, Trump made it political. Maybe just for a few days this week, we can reach a little deeper into our pockets and head over to the grocery store or Spence's to buy and donate a bag of dog food, some personal hygiene products or a case of water. Abraham Lincoln supposedly said, "When I do good, I feel good and that's my religion." Let's give it a try.

              Forest Thinning High Winds

Forest Thinning is of no use when there are catastrophic fire conditions.
With high winds , fire gets into the tree crowns , and travels far and fast.
To support Dump's ignorant comment that it was the State's fault is pure ignorance.

Once again PG&E has caused the 2 largest fire losses in just over 1 year.
It was sagging distribution lines last year, this year a "malfunction" of some sort.

It is time PG&E either corrects it's equipment deficiencies , or lets another entity take over. Clearly they have some serious maintenance problems, probably due to the quest for profits over our safety. There is a reason PG&E has the reputation as the "Cadillac" of utility Cos. they pay high dividends to their stockholders, at the expense of our safety.

Ditto-Trump DID inherit a big mess and he's doing the best he can. I notice that when he says something he opens up ALL OUR EYES and has been doing that since his campaign days. He tells it like it is and doesn't dilly dally like some other prez's in the past. He is more of a DOER than a TALKER!

PS Do we also see that the fire is being fought and there are measures to help out the survivors? Yes there are a lot of agencies helping out and donations coming from all other places in the state and maybe even more from out of state. We all have to remember this fire took off really quick and it's a shame what had happened like all fires. Lets all pray that this gets contained soon and then worry about what caused it and the politics and all that afterwards. We ALL need to focus on what we can do to help as citizens-to do our civic duty and if we can't do much, then pray. And shame on those who are looting-you will meet your maker eventually! It's called KARMA!
