Stockton, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is accepting applications for individuals interested in becoming chain installers on state highways in the Sierra Nevada. Permits are available for routes 4, 88, 89, 108, and 207 in Calaveras, Alpine, Amador and Tuolumne counties. A mandatory orientation class for new applicants will be held in the Caltrans Maintenance Office, located at 98 South Main Street in Angels Camp, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. A written and performance exam will be held immediately following the orientation. Successful applicants may purchase their permits after the exam. The cost for the permit and identification bib is $200.00.

Really, you have to be kidding, didn't anyone inform these people that global warming is going on, there will be no snow this year thanks to Jerry, Gavin and good ole Al Gore! I just took my snow shovel to the dump today, Iwent home and got deep under the blankets, my fear is overwhelming!

I think you got the word out. Are you too nervous to call them?
I do know it seems like there might be a snitch in there, it always seems like on some of those raids all the growers are gone....kind of like they got a tip of a raid was about to happen.

Wow, good news for about 50% of the democrats, no education required. You will need help in signing your name on the permit though. But any child in school can show you where to put your X.

$200 for a chain installer permit? J Brown and the Ds just aren't happy unless they got a hand in your pocket.
