The guy tried to put out the fire when it was small, but PG&E had turned the power off to his well because of wind.

the source of the fire was located by the prevention officer near 3 huge green houses located up on the hill behind a residence at the location. the entire area of ignition looked to be a past or still active cannabis farm by viewing in google earth. according to initial reports several explosions were heard as well. with cultivation time in high gear everybody should be extremely cautious when out in the woods.

That property with the greenhouses you speak of is for sale. The fire was put out by a local neighbor. It started around 2am. I live close nearby.

fire sale makes sense but if put out by neighbor why is it 15 acres and only 90% contained.
