Charles J. “Chuck” Taylor 1950 - 2018

Murphys, CA...Charles J. “Chuck” Taylor, age 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018, at his home in Murphys, California. He was born on May 24, 1950 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Vernon “Bud” and Jeanine L. Taylor. He attended school in Lodi, California and graduated with a GED. Chuck was honorably discharged from the U.S.Navy during the Vietnam War Campaign. He was a woodcutter by trade and helped friends with odd jobs in between. Chuck truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; visiting with friends and family, watching old movies, reading his large-print bible and spending memorable moments with his canine companion, “Rusty”.

He was quite the marksman; loved target practicing, hunting and collecting guns. Fishing was always a passion since early childhood. Chuck is survived by his mother, Jeanine Taylor; sister, Shellie (Gene) Cervantes, nieces, Eryn and Sara Cervantes; extended family, Scott and Robin Thomas; many cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon “Bud” Taylor, grandparents, Tate and Lillian Brumfield, John and Gertrude Taylor; Great Grandfather, Charles H. Brumfield; and his beloved dog, “Rusty”.

The family will host a Memorial Gathering at the Murphys Park on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
