You guys are going to so miss Brown when he's done. He had more fiscal discipline than any Republican or certainly the Democrats in the legislature. I don't love every decision he made but he cracked heads, got things done and kept CA in good shape.

    Very hard act to follow.

And, please, before you start in, Melones is pretty full for October.

And your great-grandkids will take the high speed train to Disneyland and thank you for letting them avoid the long drive in a car with daddy smoking and mommy arguing with him and pushing an imaginary brake pedal on the passenger side floorboard.

Melones is pretty full alright, full of rash causing bacteria and leeches. Let's hope not soon brain eating amoeba. Heavy metals from past mining. Don't forget the runoff from wine grapes and pot of fertilizers and pesticides.

Is this true? Do people find leeches on their body after swimming in Melones?

Yes you can find leeches on your body if you hit the shallows in warm weather. It also happened in Murphys Park last Summer during that long hot spell.
          Jerry Clown, I like that.
Mr Clown, the Bullet Train already a BILLION DOLLARS over budget and climbing.
Twin, 4 story tunnels stealing water from North to go South instead of having the South build a reservoir to at the very least catch runoff when they get monsoon weather storms.
Declaring Redwood Month and not having an actual plan to help with wildfires. Imagine if that money for a bullet train went to fire fighting aircraft and forest management instead?
Now we'll get some other city slicker for a Governor.
          Have a great Tuesday everyone
