Sergeant Scott Ellis Recommended for Angels Camp Police Chief

Angels Camp, CA...The City of Angels will be recommending Scott Ellis for the position of Chief of Police at the October 2, 2018 City Council Meeting. If approved by the City Council, Scott Ellis will be sworn in as the Chief of Police for the Angels Camp Police Department at the October 2, 2018 City Council meeting.

Scott Ellis originally worked for the Angels Camp Police Department as a Police Officer in 2000. He left the Angels Camp Police Department to join the Turlock Police Department where he promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Ellis also worked as a Program Manager for a Private Security Company before ultimately returning to the Angels Camp Police Department in June 2018 as a Sergeant.

No tractor supply. It will put other businesses out and create less revenue for police. It’s is an investment group that could care less about our town. It’s all Chinese junk they sell.

Go look at the other hardware stores and other retail stores and see where their merchandise is made. No growth that's what has been happening and that's why the town has not amounted to anything and that's why the town is on the verge of bankruptcy. Get some growth get some businesses get this economy going. Let Tractor Supply in, competition is good.

Competition? Sure, tractor supply will provide that. Growth? Nope. A tractor supply store would be the result of growth, not the cause.

A tractor supply store in Angels Camp would be very nice.

This article is about a police chief-not the Tractor Supply. And I'm sure that Mr. Ellis will do a fine job!

The number of residents in the area who would purchase anything sold by TSC is finite. The stores up here who currently sell what TSC does aren't having any problem keeping up with demand, since there is little development occurring. No need at all for any box store until more real jobs emerge up here due to real businesses locating up here. TSC would just cause a redistribution of the existing revenue, not engender their own dedicated stream. Simple economics that stacks of folks learned when they had to shutter their business ventures up here after brief attempts at getting them off the ground. You cannot create demand in an area with almost zero expendable income.

Where is the corruption? If there is any hint of corruption I think it's just those pot people and other dopers just trying to get their way!

I have lived in this town for many years! Where are you from? Some of you folks complaining are probably not even Angels natives or Calaveras county natives-probably been here only for a few years huh?

Fordahl turns 50 last spring; this friend of his is rehired in June. Fordahl announces retirement shortly thereafter. Coincidence??

You have no idea what you what your talking about!! Must have been arrested. Todd moves to be with is family in a different state. Perhaps if people didn’t get into trouble you wouldn’t hate Law Enforcement so much. Also, you should pay more attention to City Policy all over the country. Stop bad mouthing AC. I have here for 40+ years my kids grew up and if your a law abiding citizen you grow to appreciate All LE. So if don’t like the LE move out.
