Minor Injuries in Vehicle vs Juvenile Pedestrian Near Toyon Middle School

San Andreas, CA...Minor Injuries in Vehicle vs Juvenile Pedestrian Near Toyon Middle School.. On September 24, 2018, at 3:07 PM, Melendez was standing on the edge of Double Springs Road, looking across the road, in a southwest direction. Barron was driving north on Double Springs Road, north of SR-12, at approximately 10 mph. Melendez walked into the roadway, and began to cross the road, directly in front of Barron's Chevrolet. Barron applied her brakes, but could not stop in time, and the front of the Chevrolet struck Melendez.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected in this collision.

    DRIVERS!
Slow down around children. They almost make worse decisions than Democrats.

Slow down? The driver was going 10 mph. I car idles about that. Maybe kids should be taught to:
STOP - LOOK - and LISTEN for oncoming traffic!

Nonsense. If you see a kid on the side of the road you need to go slow enough that you can not possibly him him even if he does something stupid/unexpected. Because, often enough, he will.

Same thing with a dog or dog walker near road.

    It's called defensive driving.

    Nobody should sue anybody.
