McClintock Calls for State-Wide Federal Assistance for California Fires

Roseville, CA...U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock, CA-04, joined by 13 California members of the House of Representatives called on President Trump to continue to provide federal assistance for fire suppression and recovery. “For the state of California to endure these catastrophic wildfires, it is going to take your continued leadership and support,” the letter to the President said. “We stand ready to assist you in expediting federal support to impacted communities.” A copy of the letter is attached.

Congressman McClintock at Donnell Fire Headquarters on August 8th

Congressman McClintock has been briefed at the incident command centers at the Donnell and Ferguson fires. “Our fire commanders and front line firefighters are doing an amazing job in incredibly tough conditions,” McClintock said. “I’m confident the appropriate resources of the federal government will be available to assist the people of California.”

Honestly....it would be nice to see some equal time given to Mr. McClintock's opposition on these matters. I'm sure she has her own opinions which she would appreciate being heard. Does that seem fair? Does it seem fair to boycott Pinetree advertisers if the Pintree refuses equal time?

Just think of it as a tariff, or closing down the government. Honestly I can't say that I'm any better than Trump at making threats, if that's what you'd like to call it.

Libs talking about fires is a losing proposition for them. Their policies over last 50 years let to tree overcrowd fragile forests.

The well meaning but idiotic "Save the trees" policies have led to the destruction of our forests for generations.

Thanks Libs, you have not only ruined CA economically you are responsible for burning it down.

Major fires emit more Co2 than all the vehicles in an entire year.

log it graze it or watch it burn.

we must go back to the old ways before these environmentalists ruined what worked.

cattlemen of old burned out the left over brush and under story each year after grazing was done.

we must reinstate grazing in all of the high country above 4k feet.

we must reinstate logging above the 2k foot levels being selective in cutting/culling our forests.

we must tell these environmentalists to stick it where then sun does not shine in themselves.

we must take back our state.

KCRA Interview- Zinke Denies Climate Change For Fires
Posted on: 2018-08-12 17:28:50   By: Anonymous

Typical, the climate change deniers, including the Sec of Interior, deny climate change for increased fires and intensity of fires in Ca.
The tariffs will add $20,000 to a replacement home.
Zinke cheered on the tariffs, saying "we need to increase our timber harvest and steel manufacturing for the replacement homes, that will be great.
Someone needs to tell Zinke, and the other deniers that industry doesn't change because of a temporary chnage in tariff policy, they invest only on a long tern view, and that is tRump will be gone, and the tariffs with him- 2 more years at best, maybe sooner.

If there is an economic downturn, many of the thousands of homes lost this year, and in the past year will not be replaced. We are overdue historically for an economic downturn.
The tariffs have caused a dozen industries to close, and more are declaring bankruptcy due to the tariffs.

MAGA ! the attack on the middle class continues....

You can still believe in extreme climate swings and believe in the sheer folly of the environmental gestapo and their direct responsibility for the massive fires destroying our state. CEQUA policies are literally killing us

      Oregon Bundy Clan Arsonists
Posted on: 2018-08-13 11:31:33   By: Anonymous

The arsonists started a fire on Federal lands to cover up their deer poaching. This from court testimony.

Climate change (warming) is a fact. Ca just had the hottest July on record.
Higher temps dries the forest wild lands more and makes them more prone to fire.

It is a waste of time in my experience to try to use facts when speaking to those who deny climate change. These people don't use facts, data, science to inform themselves, they prefer to be told what to believe. This usually indicates they are Fox viewers , who are living in a bubble of disinformation.
Q anon , Alex Jones, and the rest of the alt reich BS conspiracy crowd cannot be debated, the answer is to ignore them deal with the arsonists like the arsonist in So Cal , jail them and reduce their numbers. .
Sadly the Oregon arsonists were pardoned by tRump, who also is a mindless moron who ignores facts, history, even the time differences around the world.

Ignore the man behind the curtain, and Vote for sanity- vote Democratic.
