I Seem to Have Forgotten Where I Live! Can You Help Me?

Murphys, CA...I seem to have a bit of amnesia and wandered into SNAC Murphy's. Suki & Ree have been asking around, but nobody is claiming me. I am wearing a striped collar - no tags. I am a well loved and well fed little man but I can't remember where I live. SNAC in Murphys closes at 6p. Call 209-727-9133 or go to 448 Main St.

Posting on the humane society and Lost & Found Pets 209, too! Thank you, John, for always doing this for our lost pets.

Not flatlanders but a local POS. Lives on Algiers and let's him - the dog's name is Buster - out for hours every day. Well known for visiting many Main Street businesses. One of these days this sweet dog is going to disappear into the arms of those who can truly care for him.

Tried to call the number above to say what above poster did but phone number is not right or has been disconnected. This is a local guy who simply lets his little buddy out for hours every day. There are more than a few people thinking it's time to bring Buster to the shelter and let this azz pay for his return - or allow Buster to be adopted by someone who cares.

I'll be happy to take the little guy. I wouldn't give him back with all the input of comments, but... it's seems a bit too late now that's it's known publicly.

It's a dog for crying out loud. Let it go and it'll go home. Geez, good job keeping the dog trapped when it was just out cruising. Good job "saving" it. I bet it was in serious danger out in the streets of Murphys.

It might not be a dog, it might be one of "them".

Do you really think a dog should be roaming for hours on Main Street?

You're Right!! Nobody should be roaming for hours on Main Street.
We need a greater police presence.

One of Mrs. Gordon's dogs was hit by a car recently and killed on Scott St. This lost dog chases after cars like the dead one. Dogs need to be protected. Thank you SNAC

I recognize sometimes people get a little too involved in the business of others but have to say in this case the right call. The dog cruises up and down both sides of Main Street and frequently crosses in traffic. Murphys is no longer the sleepy little town it once was and there are often people driving much too fast.

Have to say as a pedestrian, there are times when I thought I was in serious danger in downtown Murphys. Way too much wine "tasting" going on. Especially on weekends, it's like you've entered a Twilight Zone where people from the Central Valley and Bay area are allowed to be intoxicated because wine is somehow more sophisticated than doing shots. If you've had four or five of anything, call it what it is - a bar crawl.

Okay, point taken. I did run the comment by an Asian-American friend in Murphys and she thought it amusing, though acknowledging her parents likely wouldn't have.
