Governor and First Lady Honor Cpl. Joseph Maciel

Sacramento, CA...On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Cpl. Joseph Maciel, who bravely gave his life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time. In memorial, Governor Brown ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol. Cpl. Maciel’s family will receive a letter of condolence from the Governor.

Cpl. Joseph Maciel, 20, of South Gate, CA, died July 7 in Tarin Kowt District, Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan from injuries sustained in an apparent insider attack that is under investigation. Cpl. Maciel was assigned to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, GA. Task Force 1-28 Infantry is currently deployed in support of the 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade.

Cpl. Maciel was supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.

Jerry, Barry, Hillary, Nancy, Chuckie, Kamala, Billy, just to name a few Snowflakes have no idea what this soldier and his family have gone through, it would be better if all these a holes kept their mouth's shut! Same goes for any other person politician, or beyond! Save your breath, those of us that served should have the honor to give condolences, not some chicken s--t!
