Agreed. Unless it is within an actual townsite or after dark. The law: No shooting within an actual townsite (not the land they have added by zip code to your town) or after dark.

If you are talking about the calls above in the townsite (marlette st.) it was most likely fireworks/firecrackers.

Mokelumne Hill looks like a tiny, sleepy little quiet town to transients, and much keeps happening. Little do transients know the town is very tight knit and residents look out for each other. It is the way all towns in our county should be. It is really not that much effort to know your neighbor and show up at community events.

It is the foothills and it is nice to know your neighbors have your back. Transplants seem to not want to know their neighbors, and go out of their way to avoid them. Seems they do not want to be part of a community. Maybe coming from other communities they were ostracized for a reason. Be observant, know your neighbor.

I hear you. Based on the number of empties I pick up along our rural road weekdays after 3:30 pm, it's clear the litter (and disrespect) is more from locals and good ol' boys coming home from their county jobs.

After a few false alarms at the same place, they should.
I'll get that *bleep* swearing in public, senile old guy, Clapp on it.

Is the sheriffs department billing for the huge amount of false building alarms yet? What a waste of our taxpayer dollars, rare any of those are real.
