Soon to be Governor John Cox got a whopping 38.44% of the vote, while greasy Gaysom Newsom only got 23.34% of the vote. Just a little more than the write in candidates total.
THE BIG RED WAVE IS HERE!

So you know my name, call me names, and are a coward. Is this indicative of a your character or just your penchant to try to force the citizens of Calaveras County to endure commercial cultivation when all's they want is for individuals to have their own freedoms and rights. Do you care about everyone's rights or just your own?

Thank you! I have no intention of "buying" anyone. You are presuming I live in a cabin. That's a bit much don't you think? Speaking of that, did you a) see the amount of Merita's contributions and the sources b) see all the hidden $99 and under, unspecified contributions and c) see her big contribution to Measure D, one of the worst measures in Calaveras County history. She was a major funder besides being a main proponent. Now what were you saying about someone "buying" someone or something?

Says the woman that gave the legal maximum in both his and her husband's name to Olivera. Commercial cannabis has nothing to do with your irrational behavior. The ban is here, done game over. Measure d didn't pass, you've grown so tired so old. Get over yourself psycho and please stop ruining the enterprise. And yes if I lived in your district I wouldn't have given my vote to Olivera as you have soured, and made blatantly outrageous remarks of pure hate, discrimination, and social profiling. Being a supporter of him ruined his campaign.

Merita has a wide variety of supporters because they believe in integrity. So, SHUT UP ALICE and quit bringing up Merita's name. V I C T O R Y !!!!
Friends,
I am certain that all of you have heard the incredible news…..BOS votes to BAN
Commercial Cultivation in Calaveras County!!
This stunning event is reverberating throughout Cannafornia and the Nation! I cannot count
the number of emails from all across the country, state, and county. All of them offering
thanks and praise to the good citizens of Calaveras County for pressing their local government
bodies to Ban ALL commercial cultivation of pot.
Before I continue, I would like to thank those brave supervisors who made this happen.
Gary Tofanelli, Dennis Mills, and Clyde Clapp listened and acted. They deserve an email or
phone call, or both to thank them for doing the right thing for ALL the citizens of Calaveras
County. I also want to caution all of you that this event is not the Silver Bullet that will end
our collective nightmare.
WHATS NEXT?
Pro Pot supervisor Mike Oliviera, doubting the commitment of the people, called for the issue
to be put to the voters along with a very liberal regulation draft ordinance. Now our liberal
and corrupt county counsel and planning Director have been tasked with preparing TWO
measures for the voters. THE COMMITTEE WELCOMES THIS CHALLENGE!!!!!!
While supervisors speak with hundreds of citizens, the Committee speaks and listens to
THOUSANDS!!!!! The deadlines are very tight for anything to appear on the June Primary
Ballot, but I am confident our pro pot county staff will get it done in weeks, while the BOS
ordered Ban ordinance took almost a year. BRING IT!!! MS. STEDTFELD AND PETER
MAURER!!!! When the people vote the ban into law, no longer will the BOS or corrupt
county staff have any power to change it. The balance of power shifts from self serving
elected and appointed officials to the PEOPLE!!
WHATS NOW?
1. The Committee will be submitting a ‘to do’ list to the BOS which includes revisions to
Ordinance 17.91 which controls pot shops, a demand that the County joins with CVHIDTA
(Central Valley High Intensity Drug Trafficing Agency) to get access to BILLIONS of dollars
of enforcement and Environmental Protection/Clean-up funds, along with human assets to eradicate existing pot grows and assess the damage caused by the Eco-Terrorists who sought to enrich themselves at the expense of Calaveras residents. The Committee will also demand that the BOS declare a ‘STATE OF EMERGENCY’ regarding the out of control, illegal, cultivation of marijuana within our County. This will aid in getting grant funding for eradication and remediation of pot grows.
2. We must prepare for a robust campaign to support the BAN if and when it appears on a
ballot. The Committee is NOT calling for contributions now, but when it is official that the battle will take place at the ballot box, we will need approx. 15-20 thousand dollars for signs, pamphlets, meeting hall expenses, printing expenses, etc. The millionaires on the pro pot side will raise 20 to 30 times that amount to defeat us and fund legal challenges, hire transient voters, out advertise us in the Cannabis Enterprise and other media outlets. We have learned, through experience, how to be very efficient with campaigns.
3. We must replace pro pot elected officials. Additional funds will be necessary or that, but
those contributions should be made directly to the campaign committees for each individual.
The Committee will be actively engaged in several races and will report out to you the
questions and answers brought up in Candidates Nights, debates, interviews, etc. We will also
supply suggested questions you can ask at live debates and through emails to the various
candidates. It is time for all of us to hold their feet to the fire and get their firm and honest
positions on a variety of issues facing the county.
This victory is not the end. We now hold the high ground in the debate and the criminal pot
industry will have an uphill battle, but they have almost unlimited financial and legal
resources, however, their path is all uphill.
2018 will be a watershed year in Calaveras politics. Please join with the Committee to finally put the stake into the heart of this criminal enterprise that brings nothing but evil to our neighborhoods and communities.
Many thanks my friends, I am honored to be in this battle with you,
Bill

Bill you need to explain yourself. Your vitriolic personal attacks on Supervisor Oliveira, your pattern of lies and deception, and your extremist agenda is dividing our community. You have lied for the last two years and the fact is undeniable. The Calaveras County Superior Court ruled that 8 of 8 statements made by Bill and Dave were false and misleading and had to either be stuck from the voter guide or edited to reflect the truth. Ban Candidates only received at most 30% of the vote in any of the county races in June. 30% of the electorate does not have the right to impose their will on the rest of us who voted for measure C and voted for pro-regulatory candidates.

What a shame, everything (almost) is about money, but a few companies still go all out for their own reputation and keeping their customers happy.

You got your stats wrong. Bill had nothing to do with the fact that Prop. 64 did not win in this county, Measure D did not pass, and Measure C only passed because people were scared to death that commercial pot would be here and that they would be forced to live hear it (See Merita's zoning plans), and then not get any tax money. Stop lying.

You bet scared to death. Because of commercial cultivation we've pot marijuana related murders, nearly all shootings during the past 2 years were marijuana-related (check the Sheriff Dept. log), we've had environmental crimes, other safety problems, folks paying workers in pot and having them driving this valuable load across our county, large stashes of cash not well stashed at all, and much, much more. Stop with the fairy tale stories. Let folks grow or buy their own. Beyond that? Grow in the Emerald Triangle, in the Valley, anywhere better suited. Calaveras County does not have the water or wherewithal.

Merita Callaway is not being bashed. Check her website. She is for loosening up qualifications for CUPs (Conditional Use Permits) and Variances, which means no real zoning protocols at all. Why even bother? She changed the zoning completely for the Little Trees Dispensary meaning that the entire building zoning changes and makes the other existing businesses grandfathered, but any new ones have to be of the same "ilk" as medical, drastically reducing the use (and value) of that building. Did the owner know this would be the consequence with dealing with her wishes? How does Little Trees not comply with ADA with a second story "medical" business? No elevator. The stairs aren't even a straight shot. Should I go on? Why did she fast-track Little Trees and block Cottage Springs and others? Why did she botch Oak Court? Her zoning language means adding (explosive) pot Manufacturing because she says she will do that, and admitted it. Did you read what she is pushing? It's far worse than Measure D. Merita's missteps, mismanagement, mishaps, and mistakes still haunt us 3 years after she left. She's nice. She's a volunteer. But she has demonstrated over 21 years she is not well suited for this job, and more recently seems sadly just unwell. We wish her well. Let her recover, do her thing in the community. We need a leader who can keep us headed toward a vibrant, vital, and value-added district.

Alice, a Supervisor can NOT change zoning laws on their own. It's impossible. You really need some help. Do you have any experience in County government? At all? Or are you just over there on your computer researching? You need to quit telling all of these fables. You are a liar and you know it.

Hi Alice, I think it's really rude to continue to say Merita is "not well." I find your tactics to be low class and trashy. I remember watching you at the Calaveras Democrats meeting trying to ask questions about Commercial Cannabis to get people to NOT vote for Merita. Again, I thought that was trashy and I know Merita's supporters didn't do that to your friend, Mike. I've been involved in many campaigns over the years and have never seen that at the local level. Even in a county with thousands and thousands of more people. There was even a guy who corrected you about butane manufacturing. He was trying to explain to you that there would be no difference if he wanted to open a fragrance warehouse in Calavaeras as there would be butane involved in that manufacturing as well. You wouldn't listen. Instead, you just continued to try to push your agenda. Now, you are on here going after her yet again and this time you are mentioning her health. Why? Are you that scared she will win or do you just like to go after her? I really don't understand. As for Little Trees, you can't just say that unless you have documentation and proof. Sooooo where is it?

You num-nuts have to know that there are plenty of other people in District 3 who don't want anything to do with Merita Callaway, or who will go along with her smug lies. There are over 20 years we suffered. Just look at what used to be our downtown. Stop obsessing over Alice. You look weird.

You are scolding "Alice" when she should not be given all the credit for knowing electing Merita would be a huge blunder. There are loads, lots, and tons of us who don't want her biased, let's-make-a-deal friend-favorites back again. Enough! We want a fair shake. We can't get that with her. We don't want commercial pot expanded or in residential areas, or all the other crap she's trying to pull and push. We can't get our community together with her stupid PD. Hell, we can't even have a downtown with the 20 years of destruction she put on us. So you can call out Alice if you want, but you are mistaken. It's so many

Wrong! There are plenty of people over 20 years who wanted to open a business in Arnold. There are lots who still do. That damn PD messes it up for the entire town. Don't blame the recession. Murphys thrived and grew during the downturn. It's Merita's stupid PD and other stunts that ruined our town. Hey! The good thing is the past few years we are crawling our way out despite her screw-ups. We just don't want her back at the helm. Its's just not worth it. The honest truth.

WRONG! Honest truth? What did MERITA do to Arnold? It's not HER planned development. You sound just like the rest of the furniture store complainers in Arnold. Maybe if everyone wasnt selling the same wooden crap then Arnold would prosper. Enough of the nick-knack crap and heirloom stores. Way too many of those and that's Arnold's problem. If a business doesn't want to pay to follow the zoning laws, etc. That is their fault. They should have the funds to open the business or they have NO BUSINESS opening one. Period. The end. That's the truth.

Merita is not responsible. The committee is. She did not do anything on her own so it's ridiculous that people like you keep saying that. It's just not true.

Quit calling it her PD and look at all of the people involved.

It sure as hell is Merita's PD. She doesn't want to dissolve it either. She is anti-growth, anti-vitality, and anti-common sense. What she is is pro-big pot. That's it. Yes. One person can change zoning if they use their influence the worng way, go behind the counters (literally) at the county and tell staff what to do, and other such stunts. Merita is all favors-for-friends. Why did she make so many mistakes and not own up to it. What about Bear Valley? She blew it for two counties! Alpine and Calavetas. Stop b;aming Alice for just pointing out Merita's many mess-ups, mistakes, and manipulations. No more Merita.

Well, if manipulative Merita handn't done that stupid PD overlay, there would be more businesses in Arnold. It costs too much to spend a non-refundable fee of thousands just to apply. It takes to long to wait 3-6 months to get on Planning Commission calendar. Then it takes much longer to get a reply that we can even actually apply. So back off. You don't know. Merita championed this. She did nothing to fix it, she couldn't collaborate and get General Plan done in over 20 years, she screwed our railroad roghts, she destroyed the Bear Valley Deal, she gave $500,000+ in our own road funds tp District 4, she funded and stumped for moronic Measure D, the list goes on and on. But she did push through Little Trees and didn;t make them be ADA like others are reyuired. She capaigns for and funds Big Pot. That's it. We're screwed with Merita. No more Merita.

Messy Merita gets the county snow removers to plow her friends' driveways. What a corrupt situation for 21 years! What new fresh hell will she bring? Big pot, more pot, different kinds of pot businesses. What we need is to fix our community. We can't do thatwith her in charge. She showed us not one single good financial decision. She just gives away our road money, or railroad right of ways, and more. That's right, there's oodles of us who know about the corrpution, the lies, and the mess ups. Merita is a volunteer. Stay with that.
