Incumbent Leslie Davis Will Be Assessing You For Another Term

San Andreas, CA...Incumbent Leslie Davis has earned another term as the Assessor in Calaveras County. Local Realtor Tim Muetterties came up short but he should take some solace that unseating incumbent department heads is a very tough challenge.

Thank goodness. Much about the Mutterlies campaign was misleading including his being supported by local realtors. The reality is it was a majority of the association's board that voted to support him, not the majority of agents. They certainly did not represent the greater members. Ms. Davis is a dedicated and knowledgeable professional. So happy to see we did not throw out the "old" as we've done so often in the past, simply because we don't like the status quo.

That is what support from any group usually means.... a small section of the group makes the decision on supporting a candidate without the membership of the group even being asked for their opinion.

Let’s just hope Davis has had a wake up call with being challenged and will actually DO her job now! Reassess the homes, boats, RV’s and help the schools that are Basic Aid and depend on that revenue!!!

What status quo? The pettiness must stop, and the calm, cool headed business minded should have prevailed. Leslie Davis plays an expensive game. She has a self-caused backlog, won't accept free-of-charge help from other departments, and has an 18-month waiting list for property valuation appeals. How do those go? The week of the appeal hearing, she calls to try to "settle." Then the appeal figure is only good for one year. No, I am not happy with Leslie Davis.

Thank goodness!

Dodged a bullet on this one...Muetterties (through his selfish and arrogant wife, Lisa) and cronies were not in the race to make the county better for everyone...they wanted the keys to the henhouse, to raid the goods...just like the Trump.

Leslie ran a very shorty and professional campaign. Didn’t even put out signs until May.
This other guy.....well let’s just say he is far from upstanding.

Poor DiBasilio aligning himself to Oliveira and Tim Muettertirmes cost him a lot of votes.

Sometimes it’s better to not be associated with the lowest class people in a small town Rick!

You are all pathetic and better wake up to Davis.
She is robbing your county blind by not doing her job. Watch next week when the budget hearings come up. All of a sudden she found money that she was not collecting. If this is ok with all of you. This county is sad. Thank you for running Tim and exposing her lazy antics at the county. What is even sadder is this county stayed home and did not vote. Grand Jury in DAVIS investigation. Mt. Ranch will not stop!

Davis doesn't collect money...that's the tax collector's job, she is the assessor

Davis is supposed to do the assessment. When she doesn't do it the Auditor cannot send out the bills. uneducated people really should not post. Merita Callaway can confirm this.

Did you notice that pot growers supported Leslie?
Did you notice that she never assessed their business and collected the taxes. She bought those votes. The Board of Equalization will be checking on Leslie. Dennis Mills you dumb a** and Bill M.
You pushed her and all your ban people to vote for her.
You all are the laughing stock of this county. This recall on Mills is hysterical and Clapp losing. The things Mills said about Leslie over the last year, then to get him to tell us to vote for her. You deserve a recall dumb a**. See to later buddy!

Leslie is doing nothing wrong. You have no clue what you are talking about. Have you ever assessed a 7 billion dollar tax roll? She answers to the Governor by the way and can't do favors for anyone. You really need to research the office and how it operates to understand that.

Leslie Davis was caught plotting and scheming to bring down Tim Muetterties' own son by questioning and going after his disability status. Problem with that?
Candidates should leave other candidates' children alone and Leslie didn't count on the fact that Tim Muetterties' son is a decorated Marine veteran with not only an honorable discharge, but a military disability. Leslie is a wonk.
