Felony Vandal Nabbed in San Andreas

San Andreas, CA...Update: On 5-11-18 at about 3pm a CCSO Deputy recognized Andy Xiong walking along the side of St. Charles Street in San Andreas and arrested Xiong for the felony vandalism. He is in custody at the Calaveras County Jail with $20,000 bail.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with locating a person of interest in connection with a felony vandalism case that occurred on 5-8-18 around 9:00pm at the Wells Fargo Bank in San Andreas. 22 year old Andy Xiong (picture attached) is wanted for questioning in regards to a rock being thrown through the front door of the Wells Fargo Bank Tuesday night. A citizen called the Sheriff’s Office after observing the suspect throw a rock through the glass and enter the bank. Witnesses reported that the suspect walked through the broken glass into the bank, appeared to look around, and then left without taking anything.

Deputies arrived on scene within minutes but the subject fled on foot. Andy Xiong has been identified as a person of interest in this case. He is from the Willows, CA area but has been seen recently frequenting the San Andreas area as a transient. If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Andy Xiong, please call Sheriff Dispatch at 209-754-6500 or the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 209-754-6030
