"My Mighty Mom" By Michael Legge
The hero I picked for my essay is my
mom. I think my mom is really great. She
takes care of the family, she’s funny and is
also a role model. She does all the stuff that
needs to be done. She works hard and is
still able to give each and everyone of us
attention.

My mom takes care of the whole family.
My grandpa lives with us and he is sick. He
needs a liver transplant so he needs my
mom to take care of him. My great grandma
lives with us too. She is in bed most of the
time and has trouble walking so my mom
needs to help her a lot. That shows
kindness. My mom also works hard at taking
care of me and my sister. She takes us to
our activities, she is at all of my games. She
cooks for everybody too.

I also think my mom is funny. She
always makes us laugh. Even when she
doesn’t feel good or we don’t feel good she
tries to cheer us up. Sometimes she just
says random things and its funny. She has a
good sense of humor and makes jokes. She
also has funny actions like when you
pantomime somebody in a funny motion.
My mom is also a good role model. She
teaches us what is right from wrong. She
tells me to help people when they are down.
She tells me that school comes first and the
rest is extras, that I should think about my
future. Homework comes before anything
else. She also teaches us how to take care
of ourselves by doing chores and earning
money.

At the end of each and every day I tell her
I love her. I tell her she is all I every want.
She tells me the same thing. These are the
reasons why I chose my mom to be my hero.

"My Hero" By Sidney Clark
I have a special hero and I want to tell you
all about it. First, my hero is Mrs. Lundin
because she is really nice to me, she helps
me when I need it and she lets me help her
by helping her class. Next, Mrs. Lundin
helped mywhen my uncle died. She put me
in a special friends class to get things off my
mind. She was also there for the family.
She sent a card to show that she cared.
Finally, she inspired me to be a strong, kind
and caring person. Now I can help someone
else who is hurt or feeling bad. That is how
she is my special hero.

"Charmaine Desimone, My Grandmother"
By Suzie DeSimone

Caring. I smile whenever I think about my
grandma’s caring hear. Charmaine
DeSimone is my father’s mother. She has 5
children and 13 grandchildren. She has
been a teacher for special needs children,
1st-3rd, for 20 years.

My grandma is always being a leader.
She is also a tutor for kids with special
needs. She works as a teacher at a low
income school. She also helps children be
their very best. A child with special needs
may be someone with autism, a physical
disability, or down-syndrome. She believes
every kid can learn in their own way.
My grandmother knows how to be a
caring person. My grandmother is a Bible
school teacher and day care volunteer two
days a week. The kids my grandmother
teachers have special needs. She wants
parents to go to church. She helps
struggling parents get involved in activities
like everyone else. She want everyone to
have a chance.

My grandmother is so loving. She is the
matriarch of the DeSimone family. She
never moved out of her big house. She
loves to get the whole family together for the
summer holidays. Our family is spread out to
Ohio, Arizona, and all over California. She
also loves to cook ravioli for us. No matter
what she is always loving.

My grandmother goes above and beyond
in all her roles. She always goes the extra
mile when working with people. Out of all
things she does there is only one thing I can
say, I am proud to call her my grandmother.

These make you want to cry they are so lovely.
