Burglary for Tobacco at a Business in Valley Springs

Valley Springs, CA...Deputies responded to an alarm call around 0045 hours last night (2-1-18) at the Dollar Plus convenience store in Valley Springs. A suspect had thrown a rock through the business’ glass to enter the closed store. The suspect ran inside and grabbed an arm load of tobacco products before fleeing on foot leaving a trail of cigarette packs on the ground outside the business.

Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect who was described as a white male adult appearing to be in his late teens or early twenties. He is between 5’8” -5’10” and around 150-175 pounds. He was wearing dark shoes, blue jeans, dark colored hat and had a black hooded jacket. The Sheriff’s Office is conducting follow-up and working to obtain better images from video surveillance.

Below is the initial picture obtained from the scene. If anyone can identify this suspect or has information about this case, please call Sheriff Dispatch at (209) 754-6500 or our anonymous tip line (209) 754-6030.

Gary what are you going to do about all these robberies in your district. Oh that’s right cut $11m out of the county budget because that makes sense.
