Beth Louise Hicks 1960 - 2018

Arnold, CA...Beth Louise Hicks of Arnold, California, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Stanford Hospital on January 20, 2018, at the age of 57 after a courageous fight with breast cancer. Beth was born in San Francisco, California on March 8, 1960. She graduated from St. Finn Barr Catholic School, St. John Ursuline High School in 1978, and went on to earn a degree from San Francisco City College. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 37 years starting her career at San Francisco General Hospital. After moving to Arnold, California, she worked for Tuolumne General Hospital for 14 years and ended her career at Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, California. Beth was known for her big heart, her love for her family, and she made a lasting impression on everyone that she met. She was always fun, smart, vocal, colorful, funny, and brash – she had the mouth of a sailor and a heart of gold.

Beth is survived by Dave Hicks, her loving husband of 18 years. They were married in San Francisco, CA, on April 19, 2000.

Beth is lovingly remembered by her sons Ronnie Nicholas, Ryan Perieff, Richard Perieff, and Henry Hicks; her grandchildren Roxanne Nicholas, Rannon Nicholas, Hadrian Perieff, and Lucian Perieff; her siblings Carmel Adams, Kathleen Wurdinger, Shawn Bulen; nieces and nephews, John, Marc, Matthew, Rebecca, Jennifer, Marianne, Elizabeth, Joey, Michael, and David.

Beth is preceded in death by her mother Mary Anne Bulen, father John Bulen, and sister Nanette Armenta.

Funeral services will be held at Saint Patrick’s Church on February 10, 2018, at 1:00 pm, located in Angels Camp, California, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Cancer Discovery fund through Stanford hospital

Eternal rest, grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Beth's soul through the mercy of God rest in peace and may her family and friends be comforted by Thy love. Amen.
