Doesn't sound much different than 10 20 30 years ago. I'll even bet some of the local criminals have a grandparent and parent who were doing much the same thing.

Why wasn't she even there. If she cared about the community she would have showed up!

Ms. Callaway wasn't even at the meeting. If she cared about her community and running again, she should have been there!

Emotion aside, let's give this a little rational thought - shall we? The meeting was billed primarily as a Arnold/White Pines neighborhood event to discuss the uptick in crime there and Ms. Callaway now lives in Murphys. If she had shown up, others would have considered it political grandstanding. Kind of a no win here either way but her absence kept it more focused on homeowners voicing their concerns than the upcoming election (or even cannabis). I think overall a good call on her part.

From my understanding, it appears “ICE” will be showing up in calaveras county very soon. No worry, pretty sure our hired workers are registered citizens and know exactly what a (green) card is for.....

Equally important to note the sheriff's commentary on a cannibas ban in the final couple of minutes or so of the video. Calaveras has a long history of shooting down any new taxes. That enforcement money will have to come from somewhere.

The woman frozen on the video has called it exactly right. The stuff taken are only things; peace of mind is something else entirely.

It could have been followed up by a tour down to Murphys of the ever disintegrating Sheep Ranch Road. Thanks, Oliveira, for NEVER responding to any of our emails or concerns of our neighborhood group.

We are SOOOOOO old in Arnold. That was the most discouraging thing to see.

We don't need more Sheriff's Deputies; we need more Meals on Wheels drivers, geriatricians and undertakers.

That was pretty striking, wasn't it? Though not a surprise. There are no good jobs here to raise a family. The best and brightest among us must necessarily leave. The only newcomers are golfers at Sequoia Woods or Bay area folks with second homes, neither of which necessarily constitute a committed community. Don't see any many of those folks in the volunteer groups I participate and which are important to our greater well being.

With apologies, also here are firefighters and some trades people working their butts off in order to have a home. We can cut them some slack on not wanting to deal with all of this come evening.
