Yosemite National Park To Remain Open During Government Shutdown ~ Rep. Tom McClintock CA-04

Roseville, CA...The House yesterday passed a bill to continue to fund the government through February 16th to accommodate ongoing discussions over budget caps, immigration policy and other issues. If Senate Democrats use the Senate cloture rule to prevent the bill from being taken up, the government will shut down at midnight on January 19th. The vendors, visitors and gateway communities to our national parks suffered enormously during the government shutdown in 2013 because of deliberate actions by the Obama administration. The administration ordered businesses in the parks to cease operations, cancelled long-standing tourist reservations, barricaded park entrances and even blocked turn-out lanes overlooking the Yosemite Valley. The shutdown required none of these measures.

I have received assurances from the Secretary of the Interior that these tactics will not be repeated by the Trump administration. Entrances to the parks will remain open and businesses within the parks may continue to operate under contingency plans now being finalized with the Park Service. The medical clinic at Yosemite Valley will remain open and public safety personnel will remain on duty. Reservations will continue to be honored at concession venues and the parks will be administered with the objective of causing the least inconvenience and discomfort to park visitors.

It's not just President Trump, this now happens every year because of the fighting within.
It seems you have not been reading or are aware of what's been happening in the political happenings in the US . Maybe you should try reading up on a few different "leading news outlets" (sorry, that would leave our beloved pinetree.net out) and their political views, that way you won't sound so ignorant and biased on how our government is run.

McClintock and the Tea Party shut down the Government in
2013. How soon the republicans forget how they played the
game and would not think of a bipartisan solution.

Tweeting fool blaming the democrats when the GOP currently controls all branches of government. This is entirely about a lack of leadership and a president that promotes in-fighting.

Kept thinking that Trump was working the angle of emerging the great deal maker and last minute savior. Instead, his past divisive behavior has resulted in an absolutely perfect metaphor on the anniversary of his one year in office.

In the picture, snapped in the darkness of a Wilton vineyard, Jack Kautz crouches behind a dead buck, smiling broadly as he holds up the animal’s head by its freakishly large set of antlers.

It was a buck for the record books – with sprawling antlers about an arm’s width apart. If Kautz, 52, had been able to claim it as an official trophy, he could have added it to his long list of accomplishments detailed on the website of his family’s Lodi grape growing business, Ironstone Vineyards.

      Deal Maker Fraud
Posted on: 2018-01-20 10:28:02   By: Anonymous

Dump has shown he is no deal maker. In his biography "Master Of The Deal" , he is portrayed as the consummate deal maker, however, the author admits that Dump is no deal maker, he is unstable, untrustworthy, and cannot focus long enough for the process.
We knew that already from his over 2000 lies in his first year.
He is a serial womanizer, betraying his wife and son, a sex addict with a constant hunger for new sex partners, which he pays for.

McClintock will lose his election this November for hitching his wagon to Dump, as more and more see the Dotard president is incapable of understanding basic aspects of being the president.

The Republicans will try to embroil America in a trumped up war , or allow an attack as bush and the traitorous neo cons did to desperately cling on to power , and expand the destruction of our Constitution and rights. Add an economic depression depression caused by tax cuts and the wall st bankster caused sub prime fraud , we dearly pay for the schemes of the Oligarchy in lives ruined and lost. The Republicans show repeatedly they are sociopathic predators of the 99% for the 1%- their true base. An examination of campaign donations show the largest donors by far are a bevy of under 100 Billionaires who are destroying the American dream for their benefit. This the Republican party.
If you think they represent you- You Were Fooled
They only represent the few, unless you are morbidly affluent, their policies harm you and your family's future.

      Wake Up!

Better Open your Eyes Tom McM
Posted on: 2018-01-20 12:23:01   By: Anonymous

McClintock somehow 'forgets' all the actions behind the current situation. He also 'forgets' that there are GOP senators who have stated they will not vote for the house emergency funding bill.

If it was only Democrats not voting for the bill, it would pass because the GOP holds a majority in the Senate.

McClintock also neglects to state that there was a compromise budget plan presented to Trump over a week ago. In a meeting he stated 'I'll sign whatever the put on my desk.' And then he vetoed the compromise bill presented to him. He went against his word! Surprised? Most are not since Trump has repeatedly proven that his words are not worth the breath it takes to speak them.

Forget what previous administrations did. Stop using the past to make the present look good. The present is not good. Stop trying to make Trump something he is not. The more you talk the GOP and Trump propaganda line, the more you erode your base.

YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME, BUT YOU CAN'T FOOL ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF THE TIME. Time is close to running out for those who continue to try to follow the Trump line and blame everyone else for everything that goes wrong, and then take credit for everything that goes right.

Pssst.... for discretionary spending budgets Congressional law demands a 60% majority to pass.
Even though the GOP holds a majority in the Senate, that doesn't equal 60% of the votes.
    This IS The Shumer Shutdown!
