The Candidate Ranks Begin to Swell

San Andreas, CA...It is still early in campaign season and candidates wishing to run still have a few weeks to formally make up their minds but for many races battle lines are starting to firm up.

I'm afraid a couple of them might split the opponent vote but, still, it's good to see people actually running again.

About a month or so ago there was a newspaper article where the Auditor Rebecca Callen stated she was not going to run again because she felt the Supes were at odds with her conception of what should be done. But now she is running?

Why in the hell would Meritta run again? Seriously?

She was run out of town on a rail yet here she is again.

If you think being run out on a rail is losing by less than 50 votes, your brain must just be exploding over the whole trump thing.

She was laughed out of a few meetings. Her name and legacy was pretty much clowned in public, in front of her even.

She knew her time was up then. She hadn't dont anything for months except make it hard for businesses to expand.
She did tromp around a few meetings where she was too busy to answer any questions and never returned emails though.

She lost last time, she will lose again.

Time for Callan and Davis to get off the gravy train. Enough of their 3 hour lunches and leaving early while griping about not having enough labor. Time for them to go.

She wants to promote commercial cannabis in the County from her gated community of Forest Ghettos. No problem in her world with transient workers, attack dogs and guns!.

Rebecca Callen changed the rules and made them struct so nobody could run against her. She had every intent of running. But, first she had to make sure her competition could not get in and compete against her. The rules were good enough when she wanted to run. Double standards...

The new county job description for Auditor Controller is almost word for word what the State of CA requires to run for that job at the county level. So no, Rebecca Callen did not make the rules stricter, she just wrote some rules for the county to follow the state requirements for her job

Ask any of the special districts in the County and they would give a No vote for Callen.

Why do you say that Special Districts would give a NO vote for Callen? I am on the board of a special district and my husband serves on a different special district board. The auditor does not interfere with either of those districts in any way

Puppet number 1 for Dennis Mills.
Nobody really knows what he wants.. to grow pot, to not grow pot.
He plays both fences. This man is scary. sits silent in the meetings.
Good grief!

Needs another candidate...right now, a socialist, another who respects the law only when it suits him, and an angry person.

At least we know the one you are calling angry can actually read.
Watching him on the planning commission. He did his homework and showed up to get the job done. He didn't quit when times got tough. That some is a positive. He was also respectful to public. Would be pleasant to have a D5 supervisor show up to get the job done.
