ANOTHER one here? Perhaps we need to install one of those signs on that stretch of roadway that show the number of days WITHOUT an accident!

Or maybe have more of a law enforcement presence. That would deter drivers from speeding along that stretch of road!

I understand they are installing speed bumps before and after the turn. These drivers are totally stuck on stupid!!! Can’t pull their head out of the dark hole.....

Oh, that would be fun. Perhaps the Pine Tree and the Enterprise could even post a weekly photo. We could have fundraisers for local roads around predictions for the calendar year...

THIS AREA MUST BE FIXED!
Posted on: 2018-01-03 11:24:05   By: Anonymous

It is so obvious that people need to slow down - BUT that is not the answer! BECAUSE innocent drivers are getting the brunt of people not slowing down. Easy to just say "slow down" but others are being injured because they do not, and will not slow down. Every week there is an accident of some sort in this area. This entire section of road area MUST be fixed - it is negligent not to fix it.

Maybe the wineries in Murphys could start a fundraiser to pay for a bus system to drive the winos from copper to Murphys sure would save the locals a lot of headaches

Please take a look at just how many locals were involved in those collisions as opposed to out of town visitors to the wineries. That road has always been more about good ol' boys playing chicken with the traffic on Route 4.

But this stretch of the road was fixed. I traveled it almost everyday while it was under construction, and most of the time while I was under the influence of a six-pack.
Paying attention even while flinging empties out the window isn't difficult folks.

If law enforcement were there more often issuing tickets to these wreckless drivers, they would think twice before speeding. This fix is successful all over the state. "Fixing" the road will not resolve the problem either. And yes enforcing speed limits might cause drivers to slow down!

Maybe a speed trap is needed in this area of Hwy 4 between Angels and Copper for those that don't have a respect for life. I know it is possible after over 25 years of travelling this stretch twice a day that you don't even have to apply your brakes (weather permitting) if you're an experienced driver. I have witnessed many young inexperienced drivers passing in this area. Bold Text

There is a speed trap there. I've seen multiple CHP pulling drivers over.

That's cause they're looking for the guys that been spreading ice cubes on the road.

Why would you need a speed🚨 trap when the idiots crash?

Speed trap is always at bottom of grade at O'Byrnes. Need it between Stallion and Poole Station to catch them before they cause a crash.
