Guessing a metaphor for locals that don't respect that section of road or the speed of oncoming highway traffic. On the other hand, grandpa might not have put the cork back in the bottle yet since Christmas. ;)

ten codes. 10-23 is stand by. 11-85 is a tow tuck.

so, standing by for the tow to arrive on scene.

Accidents on that stretch have gone from the predictable to absurd. Obviously, we're not educating or changing human behavior so perhaps time to make some changes to the roadway. We seem to have enough money to spend on state highways as opposed to our own county roads.

No but the beginning theme song and pics did have a 1970 gold Opel Kaddette sedan in it.
"Get Smart" was the only other TV Show to have an Opel in the begging credits, another '70 gold Opel, this time a GT.

That was my point. We seem to have no problem with enough money for resurfacing and repairing state roads as opposed to county ones. Just an observation as Route 4 from Angels to the high country seems to get a makeover every two years or so.

That's funny they managed to come up here but when they go home after spending all day in Murphys drinking wine the road is at fault just don't understand why they don't do more check points in and out of Murphys I've seen a couple drink almost three bottles of wine at dinner no to say the drinks they had at the bar before dinner then took off in there vehicles just having the time of there life. They can't handle that wait tell everybody smoking weed at the age of 18 hits the road maybe if they leave Murphys they'll have a chance. And just think the poor old guy walked one block form his house walked home got arrested for drunken in public not hurting a soul

    1. It is a state highway although not much better than Sheep Ranch Road.

    2. Pretty sorry excuse for a state highway in the state that likes to boast it's "the 6th largest economy in the world" over and over with the highest fuel and car taxes in the US.

Think the state should start putting pot seeds along the highway instead of flowers that way they can clean the roadway and make a few bucks on the side
