SiCKO Screening Set for Valley Springs on March 8th~By Mary Boblet
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras County's Democratic Central Committee and Democratic Clubs are kicking off the 2008 election year with a series of free screenings of the acclaimed health care crisis documentary SiCKO by Michael Moore. A facilitated forum will follow, giving participants opportunity to voice their opinions on challenges and solutions affecting the level of health care service and delivery in Calaveras County....
Invitations to this event were extended to both candidates for Congress. Dr. Bill Durson will participate in the forum. His opponent is the incumbent Congressman Dan Lungren. Congressman Lungren will be in Washington DC, however his campaign staff is considering sending a staff member to the forum.
Invitations were also extended to District 1 Supervisor candidates.
