Collision on Boards Crossing Takes Life of Dorrington Man

Dorrington, CA...On the evening December 16th A 53 year old Dorrington man was driving a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup eastbound on Boards Crossing Road, approaching Snowshoe Thompson Trail at an unknown speed. He failed to negotiate a split in the roadway and continued into the intersection of Boards Crossing Road at Snowshoe Thompson Trail and struck a tree. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision.

The Staff of ThePineTree.net has his family and friends in our prayers

He was not a Lube Room Regular, and there is nothing wrong with being a regular. I love the Lube Room and their employees. First time down in a couple of months on Sunday There are those of us up here who love and enjoy each others company at The Lube Room or Camp Connell. Who are we to judge. We don't know yet the reason of his demise, but it really does not matter. RIP Jon.

Did you not read the part of the article that says alcohol/drugs are not believed to be a factor before you made your errogant and irrelevant comment?

Why would someone drive a truck without buckling their seatbelt? At least if you hit a tree then you would have some chance of survival if the airbags deployed.

      How?

Does anyone else find it unusual that a local, who has gone by that split 1000s of times, somehow built up terminal velocity in a very short stretch and hit that tree?

Yes. Same thing I was thinking. He lived in this neighborhhod so had to be familiar with the road. If not drugs and alcohol, did he fall askeep or was it intentional?

Maybe you should save comments for what you know. Have you heard of someone having a heart attack. Your ignorant comments are hurtful to family and friends
