Christine Rapunzale Spies Passed Away at 66

Murphys, CA...Christine Rapunzale Spies, a 30+ year resident of Murphys, CA., passed away on September 11, 2017, at age 66. Rapunzale loved all animals. She left behind her beloved 9 year-old Standard Poodle, Rambo. My precious sister will be greatly missed. She is with the Lord Jesus now...

Due to heavy opioid use from pain management medications prescribed by her doctors since 2005 for back pain, she died from hemorrhagic erosive esophagitis and gastritis, cachexia, and chronic pain syndrome.

Opioid use is epidemic in California, in the United States. All those above symptoms are a result of heavy opioid use. If you or someone you love has a problem with opioid use, please get help before it is too late.

May your sister rest in peace and thank you for posting the cautionary words about Opioid use, even when prescribed by a doctor. Perhaps someone will learn from your message and loss.

Opioid use is a silent epidemic. Thank you for being brave enough to share this. People need to stand up to big pharma and the powers that be who ignore this issue for their personal gains.

Yes, people do need to voice up and stand against the powers that be and big pharma.... doctors are just as much responsible too. Opioids are NOT to be prescribed for long term use - they are highly addictive. Doctors know this, yet they prescribe and do not follow through with the patient on a regular basis on what these drugs are doing to the body - they destroy the body with long term use.

Thank you so much. More people need to speak out concerning the devastating consequences of opioid use - whether prescribed by doctors or other drug pushers. There are alternative to prescription medicine for pain management.... Essential Oils and Acupuncture are two ways to alleviate pain. Another way is through hypnosis.

"FDA Plans to Crack Down on Homeopathy...." Where will it stop? Do you understand what the above title means?

The FDA is planning to STOP homeopathy use, and then, what's next? What over the counter meds will they take away? They've already taken quinine along with a host of other so called herbs, vitamins, minerals.... I'm sorry she has passed due to the long term use of opioids. I, myself, take two opioids per day due to pain. Without these two pills, I cannot get out of bed, get dressed, make breakfast. I chose to have a quality of life now, not have it prolonged because someone says I shouldn't have it. Try living in pain, daily, 24 hrs., every day, all day with no end in sight. The pain clinics are a joke. For those of us who are truly in pain, the 'pushers', naysayers, FDA and DEA are our worst enemy. I'll take short term life with the help of a pill rather than years of being bed ridden.

Thank you for your post. I appreciate your view - you being on opioids for the short term alleviation of pain. However, this is what many people do when they are taking opioids for pain - thinking they will take it daily to get through the day in order to 'have a life'... What happens is that that day turns into a year that turns into 10 years, etc. With opioid use - this means bleeding of the esophagus, stomach and intestines.... THAT WILL lead to death - but NOT before having to take MORE opioids due to excruciating pain from the internal bleeding. CAVEAT: hallucinations will come and will be very intense for those who choose opioids for long term use (one day can, and frequently does, lead to long-term use). It is a vicious cycle that won't end. PERIOD. Opioid use is NOT the answer. There ARE alternatives that are not life threating - alternatives that will need serious searching for those who are serious. Naysayer I am not - I'm only dealing with facts.

Remember: If you or anyone you know is on a course of Opioids as part and parcel to pain management, you must be checked regularly by your doctor for any signs of gastrointestinal irritation - that includes to throat, stomach, and intestines. From what I have been told, this is not standard procedure - you MUST request it. May God bless you and keep you in His care.

Yes, the FDA and DEA are in cahoots. Big Pharma is a BIG business and will do whatever it takes to keep making money. Money is POWER. It matters not the death toll. The UN considers a human being a Human UNIT.... life does not matter. DRUGS are a HUGE business. The ends justify the means.
We have but a very short time. Jesus Christ is the ONLY answer for SALVATION. Eternity is as stake.....
Choose ye this day whom ye will serve
....eternal separation from God or eternity WITH God.
