Armed Bank Robbery at Yosemite Bank in Groveland.

Groveland, CA...Deputies have been on scene investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Yosemite Bank on Main St. in Groveland this afternoon around 2:40. The man entered the bank with a small handgun and demanded money. He is described as a young white adult man wearing a black parka jacket, light colored cargo type pants (Khaki) with low pockets, a beanie hat with a neon green stripe, dark sunglasses and was carrying a silver colored backpack.




The suspect was last seen on foot running towards Deer Flat Road. Bank surveillance photo of the suspect is attached. There were 5 bank employees and 1 customer inside during the robbery.

Helicopter H40 is assisting with the search efforts.

Please keep an eye out and call the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office at 209- 533-5815 if you see anyone matching his description.

    LEO's are few and far between in the Groveland area.
    My big question is; how did he make his getaway with only a couple of roads leading out of the area?
