Don't Forget...It's "Take Your Rubber Chicken to Work Week!"...Extended until February 20th!

Murphys, CA...We had the pleasure of chatting with Twisted Oak's Head Rubber Chicken and Twisted Oak Winery owner, Jeff Stai. Twisted Oak would like to remind you that this week is National Take Your Rubber Chicken to work week. You are encouraged to primp and pose your chickens so they look their best. Any shots will do...Action, Glamor, even Boudoir...well maybe not Boudoir but you get the idea. Winners will get instant fame and fortune. In the video enclosed, El Jefe brings us up to speed on all the details...

If you are on a Mac or having issues with the above video!

Below is the official rules from the Twisted Oak Website

Twisted Oak Rubber Chickens - The Rules!

I know what you're thinking: Rubber Chickens should run free! (And we agree, which is why we have established the Rubber Chicken National Forest.) But El Bloggo Torcido readers can be quite devious at times, so we need to spell some things out... We've already detailed the submission guidelines, so go peek at those if you haven't. And, we have talked about how to procure a Rubber Chicken. Here, as they say, is the rest of the story:

Take Your Rubber Chicken to Work Week is February 4-18, 2008. Do your best to take your Rubber Chicken to work during those 14 days, but it isn't a big deal either way.

Prizes will be awarded to the best photos and videos submitted. Twisted Oak Winery staff will select a number of semifinalists, and a winner will be chosen by public vote. The number of semifinalists will vary based on the volume and quality of submissions. If there is a tie in the final voting the winner will be chosen by Twisted Oak Winery staff.

Submissions will be judged mostly for originality and creativity, and for how effectively the Rubber Chicken is displayed. However, some attention to technical details is good - the Rubber Chicken should be the only one with "red eye"!

Yes, you can have more than one Rubber Chicken in an image, and the Rubber Chicken(s) can be any size. You can submit as many entries as you want, but please be reasonable!

Submissions must be delivered to Twisted Oak Winery in Vallecito by email to tastingroom@twistedoak.com, file transfer, a CD or DVD, or a USB thumbdrive taped to a pigeon (that last one we gotta see) by no later than February 18, 2008.

With your submission, please include your name, birthdate (it's a legal thing), email address, and daytime telephone number. We will acknowledge your entry; if you do not hear back from us please call the winery at 209-736-9080 and speak to Erin at x10.

Twisted Oak Winery reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the spirit of the event, or does not follow the submission guidelines. We also reserve the right to disqualify any votes that are determined to constitute ballot stuffing. Play nice!

Semifinalists will receive a Twisted prize to be determined. The Grand Prize winner will receive a mixed sampler case of Twisted Oak wine delivered to any state we can legally ship to.

And everyone who sends in a valid entry will receive a coupon for $5 off of their next purchase of Twisted Oak wine! (Limit one per person.)
