Kelma Legions 1926 - 2017

Angels Camp, CA...Kelma Legions was born 10-8-1926 and passed away November 4, 2017 He was born in Parsons TN. Married Elizabeth Dolci of Lake Village Arkansas on 8-3-1951 they were married 66 years. He was in the US Army June 1948-1957. He was a machinist in Los Angeles CA.

His Children were Phyllis Ann Legions- Stowers. Michael Legions wife Carrie, Denise Legions- Bauer husband Bob, Grace Legions- Scargill, Patt Legions-Nesbitt husband Tom and Teresa Legions-Phillips. He has 1 sister Donnie Spakes who lives in Monticello Arkansas. He had 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild many nieces, nephews, cousins

Preceded in death by His Mother; Opal Legions and his Father James Troy Legions, Great Granddaughter Michaiah Reed and Great Grandson Nicholas Williams

Kelma C. enjoyed fishing, barbecues with is family and Holiday celebrations. He did not like to be hugged or kissed but we all did it anyway.

He may have enjoyed being a coach more than anything. For many, many years he was coaching soft ball and little league ball, bringing numerous teams to championships from Los Angeles to Arkansas where he was loved by players, parents and even rivalry teams.

His happiest times was when he was fishing from the banks of Lake Chicot, Arkansas where he owned a home. Or fishing from any 'ol place as long as they were biting.

He died surrounded by his children, his grandchildren and his wife. He was 91 years old.

A huge and special thanks to... Hospice of Santa Cruz County, Marisol one of his amazing caregivers, and to his granddaughter Amanda Grove as a hospice nurse she was there through it all.
