Thank you Lord for those that engaged the gunman.

In this day and age we need to all carry guns more. Very important.
We are in a CCW county so make it a point to get your license!

Nothing stops a murderer like a bullet.

In year 32 the sword was the Roman AR-15

Why don't you kill the gunman with a sword. Gun people say swords kill people also. Or a knife.
Oh wait... Guns kill people much easier!

Agreed. And why the alleged gunman - a disgraced ex-military man - never should have been allowed to own in the first place.

I guess you don't know the laws in Texas, here let me copy and paste for you. Next time you ask a question, and you don't what to sound like an idiot to everyone in the world who might read your question, try looking up a few things.
Just be thankful you're anonymous on here and people won't be pointing there fingers at you and say "hey, there's that dumber then chit guy who's an inbreed buffoon" ....well at least for THAT statement above.
Here's the copy and paste for you.
"Texas knife laws are some of the most restrictive in the United States. It is illegal in Texas to own a gravity knife. It is illegal to open or conceal carry any knife with a blade over 5 ½ inches long, throwing knives or stars, dirks, daggers, stilettos, and other stabbing knives, bowie knives, swords, or spears."
        Satisfied now?

Does it not occur to you that if so many were not carrying - or the background checks and requirements were more stringent - these events might not be happening so frequently. Seriously it happened in Texas and all those years ago with Rep. Gifford in Arizona, both places where guns are mainstream.

You really need to ask yourself why it was that he was carrying in the first place. Your point is moot.

The alleged shooter was court martialed from the military and dishonorably discharged after assaulting his wife and child. Clearly a man with issues but no red flags about owning an assault weapon. How (easily) we obtain weapons in this country must clearly change!

          I carry everyday.
          God bless this country.

You can never remove guns, it just isn't possible. To even think that restrictions would do something is nothing but a mental disorder.
Do you have any idea how many guns are out there now? MILLIONS.
          There isn't enough manpower.

          Arm yourselves.

Info coming in he was a ANTIFA liberal democrat.
Just like the last ten shooters.

Its time to ban democrats from owning weapons.

Mental disorders are prevalent in the left, and just like last week it only takes a truck to kill.

Cowards would make us disarm and not be able to defend ourselves.

Get guns out of peoples hands like Australia and Japan
              They never have these problems
That will never happen here because the right are a bunch of pussies that can't stick up for themselves without a gun
By the way I have had gun held to my head for over an hour in a robbery at a store where I was just a customer then became a hostage in a robbery myself and never wanted to own a F--king gun

According to his facebook page he was in fact an Atheist leftist SJW who loved CNN, etc. Maybe not Antifa, but who knows. Criminals will always get guns no matter the ban or laws. All you would be accomplishing is taking guns away from law abiding citizens, which accomplishes nothing. If it were not for a good citizen with a gun the killer would have done much more damage.

We'll see. Bet you a beer that when all the investigative work is done, we'll find out that he was a troubled young man, his neighbors and family knew yet looked the other way. Like the kid that killed all those innocent schoolchildren in CT. This is more about people with mental health issues getting treatment AND others being willing to step up to name it so.

Hugs and prayers to the family and friends of the victims.
Thank goodness in our counties up here, if a felon
is caught with any type of Firearm, more often then not, that felon
is given a bail so high that the felon would never be able to post bond. I've
seen those bail amounts as high as $20,000. So THANK YOU to our
Sheriff Dept and The Hwy Patrol for all the dangers you guys
face 24/7 protecting us. For not knowing the situation you go into from
pulling over a motorist for a traffic violation, or going to a domestic
disturbance, or running down an armed felon.
Our law enforcement servants must be ecstatic that our local judges
who set bail have the law enforcement officers back.

In Texas them Christians love them some semi-autos in church. How'd that work out!? Everyone outside trying to give those dumb bastards the heads up for years. Feel horrible for the innocent that lost their lives. It's time to wake up with gun control.

Along with gun control we should be having a conversation about mental health funding, the latter which continues to be cut. By all accounts so far, this was a very troubled individual who had been denied a gun permit. He sounds a lot like the one who murdered the Newtown, CT schoolchildren and others. You can bet there were red flags as to behavior long before this tragic event.
