Due to Teachers Strike all Calaveras Unified Schools to Remain Closed on Friday

San Andreas, CA...Given the ongoing uncertainty regarding available teaching and support staff due to the teachers strike, and the resulting inability to secure sufficient staffing to operate safe, secure and productive schools, all CUSD schools will be closed on Friday. We are working to determine who will be reporting to their assigned positions and what degree of substitute staff we can secure in order to resume operations on Monday.

We are also hopeful that we can get back to the negotiating table soon in order to continue open dialogue leading to resolution of our contractual situation.

You will receive a communication no later than Sunday afternoon to inform you of the status for schools being in session on Monday.

I apologize for the impact this situation has had students, on families and on all involved. At some point, we will reach a resolution and will collectively move forward in a more positive direction.

Mark Campbell
Superintendent
Calaveras Unified School District

Lock out and replace teachers.

Break the union. Do it for the kids future.

Round up all the resources you can and focus on juniors and seniors.

Then as new resources are identified and hired, open 10 down to 1.

Reopen the schools for truants and miscreants last.

You might be the dumbest person alive. You are clearly anti teacher. Do us a favor and get your gene pool out of the district. Our schools will improve without your family.

Try to replace 10 teachers in a rural community with a low pay scale like Calaveras Unified and you will get crickets. You go from site to site bashing teachers when parents like you are the problem. So shut your face and leave the district if you are so damn in happy.

My, my, my, stricky a cordy?

Did you not learn not to make ad hominem arguments when trying to win the crowd?

Must be a product of Calaveras schools!

I am very pro-teacher and pro-education. It is the core of what will carry the next generation forward.

Just not very fond of what is foisted upon us as either.

Calling parents and citizens the problem just shows your cards as the problem.

      No we are not leaving.

We are building communities worthy of our children to raise families within.

      You can go to hell.

Plenty of educated seasoned folk who would be willing to share their wisdom and knowledge, combined with some energetic young teachers and the system will fix itself.

Plenty of money to go around once the fops are run out.

You are exactly the ignorant a hole this county doesn't need. Ever volunteer in a class? What kind of community are YOU building? Got a degree? Project IMPACT in Stockton will get you a credential. Of course CUSD will pay you 34k a year as an intern. Good luck filling the 2 vacant math positions at CHS next year at that salary. Oh but the teachers are greedy...hello db...people don't work for free. Be mature. Try to correct grammar and punctuation from a cell phone. Act like you know about the district because you have a kid or know a kid. The district is a sinking ship. Major changes need to happen and salary will attract the new young teachers that you think will save the district. Oh...Did I strike a cord? You are such a tool. You're probably smelly too.

The only major change that needs to happen is for the socialist
          "teachers" to leave.

Do you know what that means? Socialism is when the government owns and controls the means of production. Do you feel cool using an I'm? Ever heard of FDR? Most socialist president ever...You must think he was awful. Get a degree db. That rhymes. You're welcome.

Does this make it easier for you ?

Socialism is an economic theory of social organization that believes that the means of making, moving, and trading wealth should be owned or controlled by the community as a whole. In Marxist theory, it is a transitional (temporary, in between) social state between capitalism and communism.

A socialist is someone who supports the political philosophy of socialism, which is a governmental system that advocates community ownership and control of all lands and businesses rather than individual ownership

You are such a loser troll. You probably smell bad and have no friends. I hope you post something about being too mature or intelligent to engage as DB's like you do. Enjoy your completely un cool life of scrolling through boards to post nasty stuff about the people who educate your kids. If you were smart enough to get educated...you could be a teacher yourself you know.

"So shut your face and leave the district if you are so damn in happy."

If you're a teacher you make a good case for getting rid of, if not all
teachers, at least you (so damn in happy).

By the way who is it that pays your salary? Shut the f- u-c-k up and you leave the district snowflake.

So I guess you are the one looking at others awkwardly in gym class....On a parent board. Not a teacher. You just taught me that you are special. What is a snowflake? Is that what happens on your face? Read the paper. Talk to your kids. Talk to their teachers. You will understand what they a are doing.
