What’s Happening in Murphys this Week October 17, 2017 through October 23, 2017

Murphys, CA...Try out the Saturday Hopper bus service running between Valley Springs and Arnold with stops in Murphys. Enjoy Grape Stomp and Saturday’s other activities and leave the driving to Calaveras Transit! Saturdays in Murphys - Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. October 17, 2017 – Winemakers Night at Alchemy - Join us for $5 glasses of wine from Renner and music by Blu’Cidity from 4-8pm. Call 209-728-0700 for reservations.

October 19, 2017 – Town Hall Meeting at 34 Jones Street – Sponsored by the Murphys Community Club with Guest Speakers Michael Oliviera (District 3 Supervisor) and Lisa Muetterties (District 3 Planning Commissioner) at 6:30pm.

October 20-22, 2017 – The Last of the Red-Hot Lovers at the Black Bart Playhouse - Directed by Maryann Curmi, a comedy by Neil Simon - Last of the Red Hot Lovers follows the story of Barney Cashman, a seafood restaurateur who is deep in the throes of a mounting midlife crisis. Fridays and Saturdays at 7PM, Sundays at 2PM – Tickets and information at murphyscreektheatre.org/.

October 20-22, 2017 Mountain Heirloom Quilt Faire at Ironstone Vineyards – Friday & Saturday 9:00 – 4:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 – 4:00 pm. Come view (and purchase from) the unique and remarkable gallery of quilts, wall hangings, wearable art, needle art, and dolls that are put together to create this dazzling annual event. There will be a diverse selection of vendor booths to shop at, as well as the Independence Hall Quilters Boutique of hand-crafted items, and the Country Store filled with cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, candies and special delights.

October 21, 2017 – Harvest Happy Hour at Milliaire - Join us for our free fall concert series! Make us your before dinner stop to enjoy live music by Ras Beekan Dan, cheese plates & and $5 Wines By the Glass from 4-6pm.

October 21, 2017 – The Mark Twain Wild West Fest – Downtown Angels Camp – 10am-5pm-Street Fair, Raffle, Live Entertainment and Gold Rush Village for the Kids.

October 21, 2017 - Stanford A Capella Group "Everyday People" at Ironstone Vineyards - Saturday 1:00 – 1:45 pm - We are delighted to bring the stunning sounds of Stanford's only Hip-Hop, R&B, Motown & Soul a cappella group to our Tasting Room. Founded in 1987 with the name Everyday People, they'll be singing everything from Stevie Wonder to The Temptations to Bruno Mars!
