Senator Ted Gaines on Governor Brown Signing "Sanctuary State" Legislation

Senator Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado) today reacted to Governor Brown signing Senate Bill 54 (D-de León), a bill that will turn California into a “sanctuary state.” “I want to know what other crimes California is going to ignore. Senate Bill 54 will quickly transform California into a giant magnet pulling every illegal alien criminal in the country to our state. It will teach a horrible lesson to our children that they need to be protected from law enforcement, not by it."

“Ignoring federal law isn’t federalism, it’s criminal. Who gets to come to and stay in this country is clearly a federal responsibility, no matter how many ill-advised laws California passes.”

Senator Ted Gaines represents the 1st Senate District, which includes all or parts of Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra and Siskiyou counties.

Thanks Mr. Gaines for bringing the truth forefront.
Unfortunately, it's an uphill battle to herd the liberal, lying, loony Democrats of Cali to the truth.

Gaines is a grandstander and doesn't even represent Calaveras County. All hot air.

Contact the Calaveras Board of Supervisors!

Contact the Calaveras Board of Supervisors to encourage them to follow Federal Law and not be a sanctuary county! Counties can draft resolutions to refuse to take part in this illegal Sanctuary law! There is federal legislation being drafted in Congress to withhold Federal Money from Sanctuary States and Sanctuary Counties-we don't want to be a part of California's Lawlessness!

But just think how this Sanctuary law will help expand Calaveras cannabis cultivation.

That's funny, I thought republicans were all about states rights and going against the "forced federal regulations." What a bunch of silly hypocrites. Guess those GOP peices of trailer park trash don't like it when things don't go their way. Buncha sad cowards.

Agreed. They are all for the law when it goes their way and always against it otherwise.

Seems to me they are for what they believe to be right. I'm a Democrat, and I don't think we should feed, school, house, and give tax payers money to people who came illegally to our country. But I may of got you when I said "tax payer money" Those who get Gov Assistance don't give a damn about anything or anyone, as long as they get their freebies every month or need to see a doctor to prove they're disable when they are not. That's why you are known as leeches, and unfortunately I see a lot of people like you, and so does our Law Enforcement personnel

Speaking of illegals here's one your fine upstanding citizens as we speak....ew type " The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office reports that 33-year-old Heder Migoya of Calaveras County allegedly stabbed to death 41-year-old Dustin Dougherty of Yolo County."
Please give this man sanctuary, he didn't mean it. Maybe you can hire him to pick some grapes or weed wack your yard sometime, and he's good with children especially little girls.

Then I guess you thought wrong, now didn't you. Conservatives have always been about law and order. States have rights, but we have NEVER stated that state's rights supersede federal laws. There have been some newly created federal mandates that tromp on states rights, but immigration law has always been a federal issue. period.

        Illegals Ca Ag
Posted on: 2017-10-06 11:23:45   By: Anonymous

Ca relies on illegals in Ag, a well documented fact.
Ca dairies , and field crops workers are #1 in illegals labor use followed by other ag sectors, and construction.

Ca would be in sorry shape if the Feds did crack down on illegals, a fact.

There are hundreds of thousands of Ag Worker visas issued for farm workers. No one has a problem with LEGAL immigrants, and to say that all farm workers are illegal is not only stupid, it's racist. Oh, oops, did I point out your hypocrisy?

No problem with LEGAL workers as was once the case.

How did we ever exist when all we had was mainly LEGAL workers and U.S.citizens working for a decent wage instead of unemployment caused by ILLEGALS working our jobs for sub par wages.
