Tom Petty Has Passed Away of Cardiac Arrest at 66

Malibu, CA...From Wikipedia..."Thomas Earl Petty (October 20, 1950 – October 2, 2017) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist and record producer. He was best known as the lead singer of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but was also known as a member and co-founder of the late 1980s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys and his early band Mudcrutch. Petty recorded a number of hit singles with the Heartbreakers and as a solo artist, many of which are mainstays on adult contemporary and classic rock radio. His music has been classified as rock and roll, heartland rock, and even stoner rock. His music has become popular among younger generations. In his career, Petty sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In 2002, Petty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Petty died of cardiac arrest on October 2, 2017."

The Traveling Wilburys are traveling lighter now.
They're down to two, At The End of The Line.
Thanks Tom for the great music and memories.

Latest from KCRA 3 was Tom was found in full cardiac arrest and unresponsive. Once at the hospital he was found to have no brain activity and per a DNR he had on file he was taken off life support. Last reports per KCRA 3 was his body was still active but there was no brain activity.

He is gone and he will be missed.

    Thank you for the music.

I remember the time he brought one of those things onstage, it was way ahead of it's time, and really controversial.
