Just ask your neighborhood commercial pot grower(s) to have them fixed. They all seem into philanthropy and are the life blood of our county. Go direct to the money source and have them hire private pavers. The county will always eat most of the money up in administration so it is a waste of time asking for them to get anything done.

I have complained and complained about the road conditions in Arnold. Scott Anderson won't do anything. Are the roads horrible elsewhere in our county?

Nah, just Arnold. Your roads are the worst by far! You really owe it to yourself to explore outside of Hwy 4 and see the beautiful sights and enjoy the smooth roads around the north county. If you want to be jealous take a round trip down Sheep Ranch road to Railroad Flat road, north to Jesus Maria, down Jesus hook a left onto Hawver, follow Hawver to West Murray Creek, east on West Murray to Whiskey Slide head south to East Murray Creek back to Railroad, short south bump back back to Sheep Ranch and back to the depressing crap roads of Arnold.

Oops, I forgot to add Doster. From Hawver rd you need to take Doster to get to West Murray. Enjoy!

Ha ha ha...... sorry! I'm not a pot grower so I can't afford to buy a hummer, which is the only vehicle that would make it down those screwed up roads!

The pot growers taught me that if you double, triple if you can the speed limit and drive in the opposing lane, especially around blind corners, that the roads really smooth out.

Works just as well on gravel roads, really smooths out the washboards and keeps the huge plumes of dust from getting in your windows. Seems like the gravel roads are worse than ever now for some reason, can't figure out why?

gravel roads that only a few years ago had 4-5 vehicles pass a day now have 40-50 vehicles pass per day along with added fertilizer/dirt trucks and other commercial vehicles a day and many lookie'-loo's during the night. Hmmm[, wonder if they may be looking to steal someone's crops??? Don't hear much about grapes being stolen at night nor many people getting shot over grapes. Yeah, pot growing is great for our county, we are so lucky.

The roads are horrible in all 4 districts. Everyone can thank Scott Anderson for this.

I agree! They are wonderful law abiding citizens, who truly care about our environment and children. They pay taxes on every single ounce of their amazing life saving crops, and help us to live in a clean, safe place!

Every road in Calaveras county needs work. Most of our roads are practically impassable. Calling the county and complaining does no good. Supervisors really need to do something .

The upcoming BAN will make us an equal to Siskiyou county. All illegals are coming to grow. Rebeca Callens interview tells it all regarding lack of budget funds, 20 people will be fired and her view the BOS doesn't have a clue about the budget. But wait several of them have filed for bankruptcy within the last three years and one is being sued for elder abuse! Great group of elected officials making all the right decisions

It is very sad what our county has done. Between the marijuana grows and our crumbling roads, trash everywhere, gunfire 24/7 and so many newcomers. What a crying shame. Our officials have taken our beautiful county and turned it into China Town Oakland

Take the millions of dollars growers are begging to pay and use it to hire more county workers and equipment fix the roads. Only illegal gardens use harmful pesticides and fertilizers because, 1- medical dispensaries require strict testing of product . 2- if a regulated industry was operating properly routine inspections and testing could be provided. Why can't Calaveras copy Humboldts up and running marijuana industry? Its not rocket science.

If that's true, then why do legal-permitted grows move so much product in the middle of the night?
