Deer Season Opens Tomorrow in Calaveras County

San Andreas, CA...Tomorrow morning, Saturday September 23, 2017, deer and bear hunting season opens for our area. This is just a public service announcement for awareness of an increase of people in the woods wearing camouflage and carrying weapons. Many public lands throughout Calaveras County are utilized by a variety of users including hunters, nature enthusiasts, pedestrians, bicyclists, equestrians, off highway vehicles, and motorists. Please be respectful of others. Reckless or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated. Be prepared. Be safe.

To report poachers and/or polluters you can call the California Department of Fish and Wildlife CalTIP # 888-334-2258

Hunters, please take care not to go into any illegal or supposedly legal pot grows, you may get shot. Seems the deer don't know better and you hunters need to be careful. Those two-legged ones with dreadlocks, well, those are the pot grower/dealers along with many other species of growers.
BOS, clean this up so people can hunt safely.

There are a lot of growers who only care about their crop and their money, be careful out there!

Hunters; please use protection. STDS are rapidly spreading among hunters. Should be able to get condoms cheap as most hunters use size sm due to their small penis size as the base reason for shooting critters in the first place.

ha ha ha ha, that was funny coming from a vegetarian, liberal, Hillary supporter who checks the size of hunters penises.
My daughter killed a 6x5 buck last year and that meat sure taste better then your baked squash and tofu. Plus it's all organic, no veterinarian added chemicals.
She'll be out there opening day, then Montana later in the year for Elk. She's quite the hunter and has brought home the 'bacon' since her first year in the field. Enjoy your vegetables, we will too as a side dish with some of the best meat god put on this planet
    Venison, it's what's for DINNER

Don't drink and hunt - alcohol and gunpowder dont mix! Most of our Search and Rescues are a direct result of drinking while on the big hunting trip. combine that with poor preparation and equipment and we've got another body recovery.

Hunting season is the easiest part of the year for men to cheat. Having been on a few trips, I can say "If only their wives knew..." That said, I think a lot of them do know but just look the other way, out of convenience, but also out of gratitude that they are rid of the doofus for a couple days.
