788 Plants Eradicated & One Arrest Made on Nikki Trail

Mountain Ranch, CA...On Friday 9-15-17, members of the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Enforcement Team assisted Code Compliance in serving an abatement warrant at a location in the 7000 block of Nikki Trail, Mountain Ranch.

Upon arrival deputies found a still smoldering trash fire, open top fertilizer containers and an open pipe flowing raw sewage into open septic. Enforcement was taken by Code Compliance and CalFIRE for these identified violations and 788 marijuana plants were eradicated.

Additionally one subject, Michael Braley (age 42 from Las Vegas) was arrested for an out of county no bail misdemeanor warrant.

Looks like so many of the grows in the county, especially off Jesus Maria Road. Filthy conditions, would you eat anything that came from that property let alone smoke it.
County BOS and SO and code compliance, please clean up all the RV's at the grow sites, these people certainly do not have sewer hook-ups for all of them. Filthy polluters in so many ways. There is nothing good coming of all the out of control grows, nothing but dirty revenue, county should be so ashamed!

Remember 20 Northern California dispensaries were found to have lethal levels of bacteria and mold. Who's testing this stuff? Who's consuming it? Sickening.

I notice the photos all have a "TCSO" stamp in lower right corner. What was their participation in this bust?

Unfortunately he put his faith in the growers. They did not respond in kind, Now, however, Cliff is free to make a contribution to the county in other ways.

Code Enforcement

Regulation is the answer.
Have rules for the Cannabis Farms, enforce and tax. Our county can benefit big time and afford to drain the swamp and get rid of the pond scum. Think about it. You don't have consume Cannabis to benefit from it! Opportunity knocks.

    You can't Regulate what you can't Regulate. . .

Our County can not possible regulate, it simply does not have the resources or knowledge-base required -- PLUS these growers, all growers will not abide by regulation -- it's just not in there DNA.

So unless your have an incorruptible individual on-site 24-7 its hopeless with these charters!

One interesting note is that the growers do not even seem to want "sensible" regulation. Wanting to do just what they want to do when they want it, how they want it and where they want it, with little or no oversight, is not regulation. It's a word to the wise that when the growers say they want something, then they typically want something else entirely. In addition there is normally something hidden or omitted. It's too bad, but unfortunately reality,

Well we tried that. The "regulation" brought us many issues. We now have more and increasingly impactful chemical releases, stream diversions, and influx of "illegal" grows because they thought we would not notice, and your chemicals and hazardous materials headed downstream. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
