Pelosi and Schumer on Dinner with President Trump

Washington, DC...House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer issued the following joint statement following a dinner with President Trump in the White House: “We had a very productive meeting at the White House with the President. The discussion focused on DACA. We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.

“We also urged the President to make permanent the cost-sharing reduction payments, and those discussions will continue.”

The only reason Trump is talking to "demo's" is because he wants to get something done. A few republicans have forgot their earlier commitments and have F!!! up the process. For those of you who are wondering Calaveras votes red and should vote red for another election. That will change when enough city slickers from southern California move north and bring their beliefs and stupid kids with them,

Glad she is getting access to Trump and he's seeing the light! We need more smart, reasonable people like Pelosi and Schumer meeting with Trump and keeping the hateful GOP out!

Trump is learning the true art of the deal. Despite his promises to ultra conservatives, we may see a lot of back pedaling on issues that got him elected. It's all good and hugely satisfying - though I suspect not for his base.

Lets just have the border patrol apply the law better so that the good guys can enter easily and the bad guys cannot. I spoke to a green card Mex who returned to Mexico to visit family. A relative wanted to return with him. The cost and time required to enter legally was too much so they chose to hire a bad guy to sneak them in through a tunnel. Just make life easier for the law abiders.
