Football Season Kicks off with the Truckee Wolverines Pounding the Bret Harte Bullfrogs 61 - 7

Angels Camp, CA...Training and living at altitude gave the Truckee Wolverines an advantage when they dropped in to pay Bret Harte a visit last night. They kept throwing fresh legs at the Bullfrogs that at times moved the ball well but had some self inflicted and Wolverine inflicted wounds that kept them from having a chance at putting this one in the win column. We have some photos and full game replay video broken into first and second half videos

Replacing that field again sure was a good use of funds. Such a successful program.

Bret Harte has never had a good football team.
But I'm sure the boys enjoy playing. Winning isn't everything.

Yes, replacing the field was a good idea, I don't have to use any Clorox
    for grass stains now.

FYI, the field replacement was because the old field didnt hold up to the guarantee by the company. BH paid nothing for it to be replaced because they were part of a lawsuit. Know your facts please.

    Let's Damage Young Brains

The game changes many young brains for their entire life- concussions.
Many caring parents say NO to their youngsters playing tackle football.

There are other sports, that don't involve high brain /body risk.

Kids are too young to choose whether to have their brains/bodies damaged for the rest of their lives.

          Man Up?

Tell that to the injured from tackle football. Lives handicapped from brain/physical injuries.

Bet you were conned by Dump too.

They may of got a whopping but they stayed on and kept trying and that's what life is about. If something knocks you down, get up, dust yourself off and try it again.
Their spirit reminded me when when I was a QB at Polk High School, when I threw 4 TD'S in a single game. They retired my jersey that year.

That's impressive. Especially since Truckee is not in Nevada.

All kidding aside, I'm aware they play in the 3A Northern league which has teams from California and Nevada. And they're currently ranked 402 by MaxPreps. 402 to 5, must have been the same guy counting people at Trump's inauguration .
