Trump advised Americans to be “very comfortable,” adding that it should be North Korean leaders who should be worried.

“They should be very nervous,” Trump said. “Because things will happen to them like they never thought possible, OK?”

Trump declined to signal to reporters about whether he was considering a preemptive military strike against North Korea.

“We don’t talk about that. I never do,” he explained.

Australia Ready to Back U.S., Will Join Any Conflict with North Korea
by SIMON KENT 10 Aug 2017

CANBERRA, Australia — Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says if North Korea directy launches an attack on the United States mainland or any of its overseas territories including Guam, Australia will immediately join the conflict.
“America stands by its allies, including Australia of course, and we stand by the United States,” Mr Turnbull told local radio station 3AW on Friday morning.

“So be very, very clear on that. If there’s an attack on the US, the ANZUS Treaty would be invoked and Australia would come to the aid of the United States, as America would come to our aid if we were attacked.”

The ANZUS Treaty binds the U.S., Australia and New Zealand together in a defense pact covering military matters in the Pacific Ocean region. It provides that an armed attack on any of the three parties would be dangerous to the others, and that each should act to meet the common threat.

Mr Turnbull also revealed he had discussed North Korea’s behaviour with U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence overnight, calling it “the most dangerous flashpoint in the world today, ” adding the terms of the Australia-U.S. alliance were clear.

“But be under no misapprehension, in terms of defence, we are joined at the hip,” he said. “The American alliance is the absolute bedrock of our national security. If there is an attack on the U.S. … we would come to their aid.
      ----------------------------
An attack on Guam is an attack on the USA.

President Trump, making America strong with strong allies.

NK ain't gonna launch an attack on the US . Kim knows it would be his end. But.....but... if he believes the US is going to take him out, if he is backed into a corner, he may become may become a mouse that roared and go out in a blaze of glory. He knows he can't win. He knows he can make us pay if we try to take him out.

Trump. He needs something to show he is in charge. He needs to divert attention from his failures. So he is dangerously close to f***ing this whole problem up. One only hopes the Generals can keep a chain on him.

‘Maybe it Wasn’t Tough Enough’ — Donald Trump Doubles Down on ‘Fire and Fury’ North Korea Statement
by CHARLIE SPIERING 10 Aug 2017

President Donald Trump defied political and media critics of his “fire and fury” warning to North Korea, suggesting that perhaps it wasn’t a tough enough statement.
“Frankly, the people who were questioning that statement, was it too tough?” Trump asked reporters during a brief press conference at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey. “Maybe it wasn’t tough enough.”

Trump repeated his frustration with politicians failing to address the North Korea threat, vowing strength and resolve in the negotiations.

“What’s tougher than fire and fury?” one reporter asked.

“You’ll see. You’ll see,” Trump replied.
--------------------------------

This kind of rhetoric reminds me of JFK threatening the Soviets during the Cuban missile crisis or Harry Truman warning the Japanese before Nuking them, or Ronald Reagan staring down the Soviets.
Grateful to have a Real Leader for President again.

Thank you President Trump for making America great again.

Guam Governor: I Want a President to Meet Attacks By North Korea ‘With Hell and Fury’
by IAN HANCHETT 9 Aug 2017

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Guam’s Governor, Eddie Baza Calvo (R) argued that while war has to be the last resort, he wants a president who says that if any nation attacks the US, they’ll be met “with hell and fury.”

Calvo said there is “concern and worry, but there is no panic.” He cited prior threats by North Korea made against Guam.

He added, “As far as I’m concerned, as an American citizen, I want a president that says that if any nation, such as North Korea, attacks Guam, attacks Honolulu, attacks the West Coast, that they will be met with hell and fury....
So, I think it’s important to be very strong, at the same time, be calm.

I’ve had enough briefings with the military, that there is a multi-layered defense, starting from Korea and Japan as well as in the western Pacific, as well as our terrestrial assets here in Guam with the THAAD missile defense system that American communities…will be protected.”

So you're ready for another war?
Can't wait to show anybody we're ready to kill millions again (Iraq)
    How patriotic of you.
The Evangelical minister at the White House from Texas said God would be ok if we nuked N Korea. How Christian of him !

Reasoned professionals are saying Dump is ignorant of his words, this is not a deal, or some game.
It may well be a distraction from the impending case against him by the special prosecutor. When you're at 32% approval, you start a war to rally the country, bush did it, why not Dump?
It is sad how CNN especially, and the MSM in general appear to be ok with war, because their parent companies will profit either from being in the defense industry, or ratings as if war is entertainment, it is promoted this way.
bush's lies to prepare the country for the Iraq war, was a media promotion, it was a complete dereliction of journalism, pure propaganda on all the MSM, and it was all lies. NO WMDs, what was the reason to invade Iraq? - OIL Did the US get the oil? , no, just a huge war debt and the loss of over a million souls, and the creation of ISIS from the Sunni Iraqi army members thrown out of the army, thanks neo cons and bush cheney for this nightmare.

N Korea was complying with the UN nuclear inspections , Bill Clinton negotiated with them, they stopped developing nuclear weapons until bush lumped n Korea in the "Axis of Evil".
N Korea threw out the UN inspectors, and started making nuclear weapons.
The stupidity of the neo cons and Republicans

So you cheer on a war?

If the way of stupidity , greed, Evangelical end times wins, we will have another war .

The answer is to negotiate as before, remove the sanctions in return N Korea would allow inspectors in as before, and freeze any development of it's nuclear weapons program.

Or stupidity can win again, war , actually we lose , Iraq, Afghanistan is in the rear view mirror, we only look ahead and have learned nothing except war which we are steeped in every day. The military budget is the largest amount in the budget proposed by the Republicans, a self fulfilling prophecy-more war.

Or we can stand up and end the stupid.

That is if it doesn't expand to Japan, Guam, and South Korea. In that case it could be millions upon millions of innocent people. Then if china jumps in, Christ there is no limit to the horrific world wide impacts could be.

You really want to risk that to buy into Trump's propaganda to make America Great Again? Really, he will screw this country so bad you ain't never seen or imagined how bad it could get.

You are so stupid. There are no missile sites in N. Korea. N. Korea has its missiles on trucks and moves them around. We do not know where they are to bomb them. N. Korea has developed solid fuel missiles so they are pre-fueled and ready to go. We have no chance of bombing them before they launch.

    N. Korea has 1000s of artillery pieces lined up on its border with S. Korea. They are already sighted in on Seoul, which has a population of 10+ million. We would have no way to stop N. Korea from blasting Seoul since the artillery is dispersed and dug in. Our bombs would get some but not even most of them.

This is a complicated problem and it does not have a simple-minded solution. Unfortunately, we have a simple-minded President.

Really? Just for starters, trumps immigration crackdown is gonna bankrupt our farms. Just recently, 2 California county farmers have lost 13 million dollars because there are no "illegals" to pick the crops. It is happening all over the US. Dairy farmers are losing their workers and can't replace them. Oh, they could double the wages and benefits to try to get locals to do it, but good luck on that, and its gonna cost us hillbillies a lot more for food.

It is more than milk and corn. It is all agricultural products. And yes I can afford a cost increase, but so many families are struggling to make ends meet that they will be less able to afford basic food. Trump hasn't been interested in reducing hunger in America.

Trump is very brave with other people's lives. That is the only kind of bravery he knows. Trump himself is a complete coward. Dodged the Vietnam draft. Threatened to sue all the women who accused him of groping but actually sued none. Said publicly that Mexico would pay for the wall but tells Mexico's president by phone he didn't really mean that.

This whole crisis talk is simply hyped up by two unbalanced leaders trying to look tougher than the other guy. Each one needs this to appear strong and in control.

They both have been warned by China, which said today, that China would back NK if trump did a first strike.

Trump is a freaking nut. He is playing Russian roulette with our nation. Top military aids should prepare to keep his hands off the nuclear football. Congress should threaten removal of trump if he doesn't STFU.

Trump is so full of horse cr*p. First, he says we are locked and loaded now. Like he made the military get ready. That is non-sense because the military in that region is always in readiness status.

Second, trump is using a term that really belongs to combat veterans and it sounds stupid coming from trump, a 71 year old fat man with bigly manboobs

OK, here it is for you in another way. Trump saying "locked and loaded" is a stupid and inappropriate comment.
It is inappropriate because it is a term coined by those in combat to signify that there is a round in the chamber and they are prepared to commence firing. Trump is not in combat, never has been, and he sounds like a comic book character when he uses it.

Second, it is potentially dangerous to use that term toward the NKs, because in translation it can be misunderstood as to what is meant.
